Think of England says it's set in 1904 and its been getting some good reviews.
Brooklyn wrote: "Mythological? Hmm. Like Greek gods or something? Any suggestions on this one? ..."
I enjoyed Tina Folsom's Out of Olympus series...hot and humorous...
Brooklyn wrote: "Thanks. Hmm. I'll need help with Victorian and new adult. I read primarily MM and I really am not a big fan of historical. And is there such a thing as mm new adult?"New adult MM try Play Me, I'm Yours, they're seniors in high school. Check out the lists section or shelves on the M/M Romance group, you'll see lots of them.

Thanks! I know I'll find something now that I know what I'm looking for.
Could someone point me in the direction of a good Victorian. This is my absolute least fave genre so help is appreciated
Breann wrote: "Is Levee Oaks in Amy Lane's Promises series a small town? I can't remember..."Not answering your question, but Marie Sexton's Coda series, Promises is a small town setting, and is noted on the main GR page. Remember -- you need small town to be indicated by a list, shelf or the book description.
Christine wrote: "Could someone point me in the direction of a good Victorian. This is my absolute least fave genre so help is appreciated"Christine, here is a good list to check out...

I liked all of the Kleypas on this list as well as If You Desire and If You Dare
Brooklyn wrote: "Haha! I don't think I did either. I got one of my least favorite but Thank You Mixer!! For NOT giving me the sheik!"I am going to have difficulty with shiek. But I think I have books for all the other ones in my group, E.

Victor..."
Thank you Fran, found me one
Still struggling with a mythological book. I would really prefer something MM. Does anyone know of a list I can browse?
TBR list for group FSports: It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Romance with a child: ???
YA: The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead
LGBT: Wolf Tales by Kate Douglas (because it's shelved as M/M erotica?)
Western??
Any suggestions for the western and the romance with a child (I assume this means one of the adults has a child not one of the romantic partners is a child, right?)?
Brooklyn wrote: "Still struggling with a mythological book. I would really prefer something MM. Does anyone know of a list I can browse?"Same here. The only one I've found so far is Cupid's Arrow
Brooklyn wrote: "Still struggling with a mythological book. I would really prefer something MM. Does anyone know of a list I can browse?"I don't have a list. And, I don't know yet if this kind of shelf works, but
Thick as Thieves by Tali Spencer is shelved as mythological creatures and as Fairy-tale -myths on page 3 of top shelves. If we are permitted to use those type of shelves, then you could look at other books like this one to see if a similar shelf shows up.
Breann wrote: "But that's not a SH book! *cries*"But is not too long, and really good. Definitely worth a re-read :)
Brooklyn wrote: "Still struggling with a mythological book. I would really prefer something MM. Does anyone know of a list I can browse?"Sandrine Gasq Dion's The 12 Olympians series about children of Greek Gods.
Brooklyn wrote: "Still struggling with a mythological book. I would really prefer something MM. Does anyone know of a list I can browse?"Not sure if Dee will take it because 'mythology' not on main page, but mermen does fall into mythology.
Stealing the Wind
Into the Wind
I think (but not totally sure) that the only thing that has to be on the main page is Romance - other shelves that qualify the books can be farther in, if I'm understanding correctly...
~KarenH~ wrote: "I think (but not totally sure) that the only thing that has to be on the main page is Romance - other shelves that qualify the books can be farther in, if I'm understanding correctly..."Yes, I can't find anything that states main page only either.

OMG! How could I forget this!! And I already planned to read book 3 in August for several other challenges. Eek! Thanks for the reminder!
I guess I should go to bed. I'm apparently not thinking straight at the moment.
~KarenH~ wrote: "I think (but not totally sure) that the only thing that has to be on the main page is Romance - other shelves that qualify the books can be farther in, if I'm understanding correctly..."great! then mermen works, mythology is farther in the list of genres :)
Penney wrote: "I might need a little push in the right direction for 'space opera/aliens'. Also for 'stranded', although it seems like it should be self explanatory. Thanks :-)"Penney, for Space Opera, mostly anything by Linnea Sinclair should work. You've got
on your shelf. Sirantha jax series should also work. You've read only the first two. If you haven't read the rest, then you could also read
. It's one of my favorite series - I really liked e resolution at the end.For new to your, I would suggest
- first in the famous Vorkosigan series.
Hi Dee, thank you so much for organizing this and everything! One Q - I am in grp A and D...can I finish Grp D reading before I read Grp A?
AnniLuvs wrote: "Hi Dee, thank you so much for organizing this and everything! One Q - I am in grp A and D...can I finish Grp D reading before I read Grp A?"
I can answer that for you - yes, you can do them in any order, you just have to finish your first group before starting the other one.
Has anyone read The Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger? It's fantastic, and Steampunk, but it takes place during Queen Victoria's reign (she's a minor character). Do you think I can use it for the Victorian category?
Arshiya wrote: "If I'm in 2 groups I can start with any one right?"That is correct - you just need to finish one before you start the other.
Okay :)Do I need to post the books I'm going to read now or only after I've read and rated them?
Sorry, I do ask I lot of questions :P
Arshiya wrote: "Okay :)Do I need to post the books I'm going to read now or only after I've read and rated them?

No problem - feel free to ask as many as you need to! :-)
You don't need to post your books ahead of time, only when you finish.
So I could possibly be in either Group C or Group F...please for the love of all that's holy let it be Group F!! lol
Arshiya wrote: "Hi Anita. I'm in 2 groups but I'm thinking of doing G first. Decided your books yet?"No not yet, in the small town genre, could be a romantic suspence that's taking place in a small town?
Cause I checked listopias small town lists, and
were on that, but it's probably more a Romantic Suspense bookI'm gonna try and look for books today.
Kinda scared about that space opera genre :)
Shannon wrote: "So I could possibly be in either Group C or Group F...please for the love of all that's holy let it be Group F!! lol"Sorry Shannon - hate to be bearer of bad news - you are group C - I missed there were 2 Shannon's when I was doing groups last nite :)
I am in groups A and B and I have already found my books. I wanted to be in those two so I guess I got lucky. You can find books of a certain genre if you google it. For example bad boys books and the first results are usually Goodreads lists. That way you can read books in this challenge that you wanted to read for a while.
@Anita: For space opera try The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or Across the Universe. They both fit and the first one is not that long. Plus it's funny. Check them out.
Found anything for Scotland/Ireland? I don't know where to look :(
