Bekki Oribello | 7 comments I remember the main character was a guy who was confused about life. He started researching or something and was taken on a journey to figure out more about enlightenment, maybe. I just remember that he made eye contact with some woman he passed by, a stranger, and then later on they ended up meeting. He learned that it was his destiny to connect with her, and that eye contact with a stranger is not a coincidence, but means that you need to speak with that person for some reason or another. I wish I could remember more, but I only read part of the book. I am pretty sure it had the number 12 in the title. And I think it was part of a series of books and another one of them had an 11 in the title. But that part may not be true.

Editing because I remembered another detail. the guy was learning about different levels, or connections of mental awareness. Like he was tapping into unused parts of his mind. I really wish i could remember more, but I read it about 16 years ago and never finished it so I just lost the memories. The more I search, the more comes to me, so I am not giving up!

Bekki Oribello | 7 comments I honestly have no idea when it was published. I read it in the early 2000s...maybe even late 90s. It's not new...

MaWhit (mawhit) | 43 comments It reminds me of some of Richard Bach's works, but I haven't read anything by him in ages. Might be worth looking.

Bekki Oribello | 7 comments Thank you. I looked him up, but nothing is jumping out at me. I am confident about the title having a 12 or 12th in it, and I didn’t find anything like that in his list. I will look on other sites too though.

Bekki Oribello | 7 comments No, but wow! That book sounds amazing! It is a similar style, but the book I’m looking for did not start with the character’s childhood, nor did it have to do with the Mayans. I would have rem marred that for sure! Thank you for the suggestion though. I will be looking for this one now.

Bekki Oribello | 7 comments Eldrid and Bargle: I didn’t think this was the right book based on the GR description, but then I looked it up online and read more about it and you may be right! I guess I will read it and find out. I will update you later. Thank you so much for your help!
