Read-a-Thon #1 - Yellow Team Discussion
Since I finished my audiobook so quickly, I started A Life in Parts, but it doesn't seem to have shelves we don't have yet.
Later than planned but I’ve finished Unaccustomed Earth. It can count for a few shelves but I think he suggestion of counting it for Asia is probably best? Thanks for keeping track of everything Tabitha.
I finished Mexico. Esperanza Rising Really a good book, I enjoyed it. Moving on to Thailand if that is ok with everyone.
I finished City of Lost Souls today and it would fit in any of these spots:Favorite, Young Adult, Audiobook, 4-Stars, Fantasy
I’ve finished A Bear Called Paddington and Very, Very, Very Dreadful: The Influenza Pandemic of 1918.
Finished DaytripperSomeone else may be reading a South-America but if not this would count. Also: Own, fantasy, must-read, to-buy, book-club, maybe, favorite, 2016 and 2017

That makes the 777 book I've read for GR. So I'm chugging along with A Sting in the Tale -it's kind of boring to be honest. I can squeeze in a true-crime, or maybe a gothic. Is anyone doing those? I can't find any less than 4 or 5 stars. I bet 2 and 3 are especially rare!
Perri-I would say go for books that you would enjoy. Every book works for multiple shelves and we can always switch the finished books around.I have updated the tally in message 26 and the finished shelves list in message 47. Sorry for the delay, my computer decided to update and restart right when I sat down to work on the tracking for our team.
I finally finished Octopus: The Ocean's Intelligent Invertebrate, and I've started All the Truth That's in Me (which I expect to be finished tomorrow). At least that book seems to have a lot more options for shelves.
I have finished The Sun Is Also a Star. A wonderful book, by the way.It can work for any of this shelves:
- Contemporary
- Young Adult
- Romance
I finished Dead Reckoning it can count toward a lot of shelves. I think it could be used best for: horrorBut other options are: Have, reviewed, mystery, series, romance or contemporary (and there are even more options but they have a number above 10 in message 26).
I finished Hard to Believe: The High Cost and Infinite Value of Following Jesus. I will update everything when I get home from work in about 5 hours.
I finished Pippi Longstocking today! This one works for: Adventure, Young Adult, Audiobook, Favorite, 2016, 2017
Hey Silvia, I have Aya of Yop City at home, but I'm waiting on The Secrets Come Out (the second book) from the library to finish the story!
I finished Indescribable: Encountering the Glory of God in the Beauty of the Universe and Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology.
Woohoo Yellow team! We have read 33 books. The tally in message 26 and the finished shelves list in message 47 have been updated.
Just finished Cockroaches. Yuck, Icky. Too scary and forensical for me. Too many suspects and most of them seedy and creepy. Won't read that author again. But it took place in Thailand. I think I can get thru one more book, this one for Antarctica.
Just finished up All the Truth That's in Me, which for sure will work for historical among I'm sure many others.

Silvia wrote: "The Secrets is the third. Aya of Yop City was really good, with a couple of funny/sad surprises. I hope you enjoy them. "Oh yes you're right! I'm always confused because my library has the first 3 as individual books and the last 3 as a bundle called Aya: Love in Yop City which I mixed up with the one you've read 🙈

Jo Nesbo does write yucky books, although I've heard his later books are better than the first ones (Cockroaches is no. 2).
I am starting with The Hollow Boy. I really hope to finish on time. It's a ghost story set in England.
Finished A Sting in the Tale: My Adventures with BumblebeesNon-Fiction, 2017, 2016, own. library, books-I-own, abandoned (that was me almost!), maybe, book-club
Great reading everybody! 40 books read! The tally in message 26 and the finished shelves list in message 47 have been updated.
I finished On Writing by Stephen King.Starting The Obelisk Gate now and You’re never Weird on the Internet (on audio).
I finished All the Truth That's in Me last night but didn't have a chance to update, and I've read 63 pages of Noteworthy tonight. Unfortunately not as much as I would have liked, but I had a staff meeting and then some work to do that ate up half my evening.
I finished Slaves of the Mastery, it can count for:Own, Fiction, currently reading, series, books I own, library, wishlist, 2016 or have.
I’ve just finished A Bear Called Paddington. I’m still reading News of a Kidnapping and I’ll hopefully finish tomorrow or if not then on Sunday morning before the readathon ends.
