Hero uses heroine to take revenge on dead father and evil stepmother

I read this book over an year ago. Hero is the son of a wealthy businessman and heroine is the father's employee. He comes back after his father's death to take revenge on his evil stepmother and dead father by taking over and destroying his empire. He uses heroine to gain information and falls in love with her along the way. Heroine is hurt and angry when she finds out. At the end, an assassin employed by the evil stepmother kidnaps the heroine and hero gets shot while trying to save her

The heroine was the father's secretary I think. I dont remember much more details. It was a big city. Bt cant remember which one.
He seeks revenge bcoz of mother I think. She died before the book if I remember correctly
