I dunno that I want to encounter any frogs/toads... but I don't mind reading about them... I mean... you don't tend to want to encounter mice/rats in your daily life, either... but Aeslin Mice are awesome...

I'll be your partner licking frog tester but lets do the lick of the LSD frog first lol. And if we get sick then we'll lick the frog for antibiotics lol. Licking the frog with the hallucination affects then our prince and princess will materialize lol

I'm kinda flying through Half-Off Ragnarok already...

I don't like this narrator as much... he pronounces Aeslin as Ice-lynn... and for a second I thought I was going to have a problem with his Australian accent for the girlfriend, but that was just her over-the-top stage persona... his everyday Australian isn't so bad...

At the 40% mark, I'm finally to the part I've been waiting for... (view spoiler)[ the Reveal... any time I read a story like this I'm constantly wondering when the Reveal will happen until it finally comes... until then, the characters are usually mired in misunderstandings... I am so in love with the Price family! I have not met the youngest girl with the weapons fetish yet, so I am excited we are going there!!!

HAIL the Aeslin!!! I wish I had a small gang of them following me around and making my life more exuberant and exciting!!! They enjoy every little thing! I think they are some of my favorite creatures on page EVER!!!

I just finished it and I loved it just as much as the first time! I need those lighter, more humorous reads in order to keep sane:):):)

I felt so sorry for (view spoiler)[ Loyd and his mother... SHe knew he was not right but she is the only child she has been able to have and I understand the need to keep him alive... He was a horrible being, but I do feel that it was not truly his fault...

Iain, after we are done with these nice little short reads, I was wondering, how would you feel to try a series out with me? It is sci-fi and it is new to me, I have not read even one of them yet...

The main author is Michael Anderle and the series is in the Kurtherian Gambit Universe. The first book in the whole thing is Death Becomes Her and I am willing to share the audio if you can't find or afford it:):):) We can just use it as a filler when we are out of other books to read, hahahahaha!!!

Holy crap does that guy churn out books... 20 books in 3 years in that one series... and there are 80 other connected books in the Expanded Universe, apparently... I might need to get these from you...

It will be nice to do new reads for our extra side reads... these re-reads are eating up my challenge slots since they don't count for the Incomplete Series challenge... they also look really short...

Right now, I think the prequels are focusing on Alice Healy and her future husband...

Probably after Tower Lord... I should have some time before Dragonlance #3 on the 10th... then my schedule fills up for awhile... some more quick reads, then Republic of Thieves, Spectacle and Deadhouse Gates back-to-back 14th-16th... dunno when I/we will squeeze in Chaos Choreography...

I forgot to mention... I listened to this on audio, obviously... and they credited 2 narrators for this 3rd book... but the female narrator was only there for 2 minutes when Alex called Verity (where they brought in the Verity narrator for her side of the conversation)...

I thought that was kinda cool...

I managed to encounter a NEW audiobook problem for the first time... I could listen to Pocket Apocalypse on my computer, but on my phone it was bugged... Audible would play 30 seconds of an iTunes song then say book finished... iBooks wouldn't play anything, it would just freeze, and it said the book was 802h 29m long, with a 10hr chapter 20 and 782 phantom hours... after adding and removing the book from my phone 4x and from iTunes 2x, I finally just converted the m4b to an mp3 in iTunes and it seems to be working now...
