It has Young Adult as MPG so it shouldn't be a problem.
And even if it hadn't it would still qualify since it has over 25,000 words. (I double checked here: http://www.arbookfind.com/bookdetail....)

MyzanM | 156 comments I've updated the spreadsheet with all the books I've read and matched them to books in part 2.

For part 1:
We still need a completion from Kaylee on Animal Farm.
We're missing 1 book from Team Haumea

I can try to go through books submitted to the UNO challenge during the mini-challenge, but it's time consuming and I would appreciate if you all would try to do your own books. If you cant find a match you can always ask for help with a particular book and I'll try to help if I have the time.

Go to the spreadsheet and see which teams we still have open slots for.

Last day for the mini-challenge is tomorrow, Sunday! (If I remember correctly)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments Im reading Animal Farm as we speak! I have like 10 pages left. I'll finish it quickly.

message 205: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments Also! By the way Myzan, I checked in the Captains chat and the book you have highlighted yellow is in fact yellow. I know TinEye said brown but thats been overruled :)

message 206: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments Hey have any of you read Animal Farm in the past? Since Im reading it for school and its a classic I assume somebody has.

On that note, any books that you read from this point, make sure that you check to see if anybody has read that book! :)

message 207: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments Another note, I’ll read Hugo Cabret today for the last book in part 1 :)

message 208: by MyzanM (last edited Feb 24, 2018 10:41AM) (new)

MyzanM | 156 comments Great!
We will not finish off the mini, but at least we’re getting as many points as we possibly can.

message 209: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments Just finished off Hugo. That was a really fast book despite having 500 pages, because it had a lot of pictures!

message 212: by MyzanM (new)

MyzanM | 156 comments @Kaylee
I just saw you put your completion of Animal Farm under part 2. You originally put that under part 1.
I deleted the entry in part 2 and updated the one in part 1 instead since part 1 gives more points (especially if you leave a comment in the team thread) Pleas make sure you don’t have the book twice in the captain’s SS

message 213: by MyzanM (last edited Feb 25, 2018 01:50AM) (new)

MyzanM | 156 comments Kaylee, I saw you read The Hate U Give. I matched that to The Hunger Games Both MCs are 16-year-old girls facing injustices in their societies. (Team Betelgeuse)

message 214: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Grant (fingordie) | 24 comments Kaylee I’ve read Animal Farm on numerous occasions. I can read it again quickly if it needs to be a fresh read.

Kaylee has finished Animal farm, but we can use it for reverse. I think it has to be on your read shelf though.

message 216: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Grant (fingordie) | 24 comments I’ll put it there now

message 217: by MyzanM (new)

MyzanM | 156 comments Fiona. I'm matching your book The Break to Yes Please. Both books are about women called Amy. (Team Andromeda)

Fiona Grant (fingordie) | 24 comments Great!! I’ve added my most recent read and will fill in options later

message 219: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments Hey Guys! I've put all of the books that our MIA team members have added to their UNO Challenge shelf in our spreadsheet for this month. Can you pretty please all check those out to see if you've read them and can fill in the cards? I'm going to do the best I can but I'm sure that I'm going to miss something! Thanks!

Also, Fiona, Thanks for putting that on a read shelf for me. Reverses are scarce in our shelf for some reason, and I figured SOMEBODY had read it.

Myzan, thanks for catching my mistake, I was in a hurry yesterday and didnt think about the fact that it is two separate challenges. Dur. :)

message 220: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments One more thing!!! I need all of you to make sure that you have shelved all of the books that you've read for the challenge on your Uno shelf!!! They dont count if you dont!!!

MyzanM | 156 comments I've put The Narnia books on my read shelf and updated Shamber's books in the SS.
I've read the entire Narnia-series several times over the years. Last I read them was for my youngest a couple of years ago so I put 2015 as the date.
Do we put these books on our UNO shelf too?, I mean we haven't read them, but we're still using them in a way.

message 223: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments No those dont have to be on the uno shelf.

Marte - Thunderella | 38 comments Does it count that I've previously read some books listed in the spreadsheet? But I haven't read them this month, but last year or so.

I've previously read
- In The Absence Of Light by Adrienne Wilder
- Slam! by JL Merrow
- Reaper's Property by Joanna Wylder
that MyzanM have read this month.

I'm thinking of the Reverse card. I apologize, but I find the special cards hard to understand, but I have read these books so maybe they count.

message 225: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments Thanks for letting us know :) we have one Reverse card left so I’ll need those haha

Marte - Thunderella | 38 comments Kaylee wrote: "Thanks for letting us know :) we have one Reverse card left so I’ll need those haha"

haha, yes, that was my thought too. Better late then pregnant. :P

message 227: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments :) are those all the books you’ve read this month?

Marte - Thunderella | 38 comments Kaylee wrote: ":) are those all the books you’ve read this month?"

I've read three, and I'm nearly done with my fourth. They're in the sheet now with dates and cards. I haven't put a finished date on my fourth since, well, i'm not finished yet.

MyzanM | 156 comments I've updated the SS with a couple of books I missed putting on the UNO-tab. Two of those have been used for the min the third - Hexmaker - has not been match to any books. I'm frankly too tired to go through possible matches right now. It's midnight and I need to get some sleep.

message 231: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments I'll take care of that for you Myzan. Thanks again for all of your help!

MyzanM | 156 comments I've just started Not Your Fault by C. Young . It'll work for Green 9. (has 52,3% green according to TinEye) I'll probably have it fiinished by the end of the day.

I'm trying to find a book that works for Green 1, but it seems to be a bit harder... How much does a character have to be present in the book to be eligible in this challenge?
I'm thinking about Tales of the Peculiar (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, #0.5) by Ransom Riggs which is a short story collection. One of the stories is about a boy called Olli. Would that be enough?

message 236: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments I just started rereading The Lightning Thief specifically for the green 1. Its the first in a series. :)

Great!
Let me know if I need to read another color book after Not Your Fault and I'll find something.
I'm only doing catch up these last days of February.

message 238: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments We do still have a wild draw 4. My plan was to use the book that shamber is reading for that if she finishes it. We also have two sevens and a zero left. :)

message 239: by MyzanM (new)

MyzanM | 156 comments I'll see what I can do.

I've just finished my book and will update with that and two more books that haven't made it to the SS yet. One fits 7 and one zero...
So that leaves a 7!

message 240: by Kaylee (new)

Kaylee Wilson | 621 comments I just filled in one of the sevens with one of Fionas books!!

message 241: by MyzanM (new)

MyzanM | 156 comments SS is updated!
I'll go through my books to see if they fit the mini. I was so sure the mini ended Sunday, but I mixed it up with another challenge! *head desk*

So we're finished when Shamber is done with her book?

message 242: by MyzanM (new)

MyzanM | 156 comments I missed one of my books! It will also fit Green 9!!
