Leslie | 2430 comments I absolutely HATE when cover model doesnt match description of character.

NOTE TO AUTHORS (and/or publishers): If you can't get accurate picture of your MCs, please...FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY do NOT have a photo on your cover.

I also hate when they change covers. It confuses me.

On the flip side, when covers are beautifully done, it attracts me to book.

Rant over....sorry.

Jean | 1658 comments I REALLY HATE when they change covers. I must say though, I do love all of Brittainy Cherry's covers though.

Leslie | 2430 comments Jean, could this Behind the Bars (Music Street, #1) by Brittainy C. Cherry be a more accurate portrayal of my beloved Elliot & Jasmine?

I THINK NOT!!!

Tessa | 1761 comments Oh, Art and Soul looked pretty, and I have a feeling that picture was picked because of her hair, but they look so old when compared to a 16 and 17-year-old.

Jean | 1658 comments Leslie, yes! Perfect portrayal of Jasmine and Elliott! Search for the book on Pinterest.....I saw a couple great pics on there.... one with Elliott's back to us....Hot!

Leslie | 2430 comments By the way, I upped my rating for In Harmony In Harmony by Emma Scott from 4.5 to 5 *****

I just can't stop thinking about this one.

Never doubt....*happy sigh*

Kooloo | 596 comments Well if that doesn't make me want to read it...
Thanks Leslie

Nay (4ukcats) re: changing covers--I've been thinking about (and hating) this a lot lately. It really bugs me and I'm so glad that GR makes authors keep their original covers so that we can shelve the ones that we remember reading.

The ones that really leave me scratching my head are the covers of the Undeniable series by Madeline Sheehan. Why take books about bikers and put a woman on each of the covers?

What does this Unbeloved (Undeniable, #4) by Madeline Sheehan have to do with a biker?

The Behind the Bars covers is what made me want to read it from the start.

Um... Yeah. I got nothing. Was she a sociolite? No... Hmmm, that character isn't fifteen. Hmmm... It's the HEA where she's suddenly rich and likes to dress mid-upper class nice?

Nay (4ukcats) This is the one I should have pictured because it's the one that bugs me the most. I loved this cover for Undeserving: Undeserving by Madeline Sheehan

Love the pic of Preacher, but I really love the way Debbie is depicted, especially her style of dress that matches the time it was written in, and both of them match the book.

So why, WHY did it get changed to this??? Undeserving (Undeniable, #5) by Madeline Sheehan

Ok, I'll stop now. lol

Leslie | 2430 comments Ewwww...that revised cover sucks and doesnt seem to even "fit" story!!
