Part 2 and 3 (view spoiler)[ Well a lot of bad stuff's happening. I swear, Citra's always on the firing line. The girl doesn't get a break. I'm glad Curie and Faraday are there with Citra and Rowan. Even if Curie's in trouble too, it helps having her with Citra. Faraday's somehow keeping Rowan from going down a much darker path than the honorable adventure he first went on. I like Greyson. His character is very sneaky and rebellious. Reminds me a lot of Rowan and he's doing so much for Citra and Curie. I'm so excited to see how Thunderhead will intervene despite them saying that it can't. I like that we are seeing more from Thunderhead's POV (hide spoiler)]

Part 1 (view spoiler)[ I loved Citra's way of gleaning and how she's shaking things up in the Scythedom. A little change never hurt anyone, especially with all the corrupt scythes beginning to take over. Also Rowan's whole vigilante justice thing as Scythe Lucifer is extremely dark. I never imagined him going down the path of killing corrupt scythes, but clearly his job isn't done since Scythe Rand is somehow alive and has recruited Tyger to be an apprentice. How did she come back?!?! And what is she planning.... (hide spoiler)]

Part 2 (view spoiler)[ I love Greyson. His character is both predictable and not at the same time. The connection he has with the Thunderhead is personal and the fact that he's the Thunderhead's spy, tasked with basically protecting Scythe Anastasia and Curie is unlike his good-boy, rule following demeanor. I'm excited to see the Thunderhead intervene in the Scythedom because that's the vibe I'm getting and I love reading from its POV. I wanna know who tried to kill Anastasia and Curie...I have a feeling it has to do with the unsavories and Scythe Rand (hide spoiler)]

Part 3 (view spoiler)[ Holy moly... Is Greyson really going to go and kill scythes and if so, which ones? Anastasia and Curie... Have the unsavories really been recruited by the Scythe Rand? I'm sad about Rowan's dad, but I mean he had it coming when he let Scythe Brahm go. BRAHM AND RAND ARE WORKING TOGETHER. I AM ALMOST POSITIVE OF IT. Why else would Brahm capture Rowan and say "we" have something better for him. Should have gotten rid of him when he had the chance (hide spoiler)]

I'm sad about Marie gleaning herself after she saved Citra and Rowan and even a little sad about Xenocrates. I don't know what to do with myself at this point. Part Five - (view spoiler)[ OK, anyone else disappointed with that conversation between Rowan and Thunderhead? That was THE chance for information to be exchanged and neither one of them made anything of it. Plus, I thought the synopsis of the book said that Citra would go deadish to talk to the Thunderhead. I'm still waiting for that to happen. Did I miss it? (hide spoiler)]
Finished - (view spoiler)[ OK, show of hands - who thought Goddard was smart enough to put together a plan to sink the whole damn island? Kill the Grand Slayers - sure, throw Rowan in front of them to make them vote his way - sure....but collect whatever engineers he didn't kill in the last book and make them work to sink the entire Scythe government - nope, didn't think he was capable of that many layers of planning.

How long do you think it will take for them to excavate Endura and find Citra and Rowan? Will Goddard be in charge of the whole Scythedom by then?

I was not expecting the Great Resonance to be what it was. Brillant way to make that tidbit come together!

I also thought that maybe this "thing" that Faraday was searching for this whole time would turn out to be the Great Fork that the tonist were looking for. I thought it might be a big bioweapon that would start killing people naturally or something. Or maybe an EMP to turn Thunderhead off - though, I don't see how that would be a failsafe if the Scythedom fell apart. More appropriate if the Thunderhead failed. (hide spoiler)]

Ahhh! - I will be pondering this one for weeks! I hope the next one comes out in EARLY 2019. I'm going to have a hard time waiting for it.

I wonder what Scythe Constantine's deal is? Is he really as neutral as everyone says he is? Also, who is behind the assassination attempt on Citra and Scythe Curie??

I love the bond that Citra and Scythe Curie have. Their friendship is great and I hope Curie doesn't go too crazy with Citra when she finds out where she really went..
