Sorry for the vague description. I read this book at least ten years ago. It was a pretty long and dark book for young adult, but I was probably 12-14 at the time I read it.

I think maybe the girls friend or parent dies (maybe sibling?) and so she moves town. She only has one friend who I think is named Jamie.

Huge twist at the end- Jamie isn’t real. The girl was mentally ill, maybe dealing with PTSD from the death described.

The cover was of an eye, maybe a green eye.

That’s all I can remember...
