I absolutely LOVE Last Girls! My favorite thing about it is how enthralling it is. I was going through a tough spell--having trouble concentrating or caring about what I was reading--and LAST GIRLS pulled me out of my slump! I've never watched or rea ...more

One of my favorite themes is persistence. I want an MC that pushes back when things get hard, and Like Never and Always delivers that. The number one characteristic of Liv is that she refuses to give up. It's the entire basis for the story and I love ...more

Amazing book! Catching's chapters were poetic and unique. I absolutely loved the strength of the characters. The mystery was intriguing and wrapped up in a way that was perfect for this story, but my favorite part was probably the relationship betwee ...more

Thanks! I'm super excited about it.

I'm so glad you liked the music in Shadow Hills. I'd love to do a sequel, and I have many ideas and areas I'd like to explore, but there's no official word yet about publication.

oh, and p.s. I reviewed your book on a blog i recently started. http://looksielovitz.blogspot.com/201...

Thanks so much! I definitely would like to take the story further---hopefully I'll have some news on that soon. ;)

I hope you enjoy Shadow Hills when it makes its way to you! I'm impatient too, so I understand hating to wait!

I have a signing at Book People on August 28th, but that is in Austin. If Shadow Hills is doing well and I can afford to travel for a signing, I'll do my best to set one up in San Antonio!

Thank you so much! I have to say I absolutely ADORE your review! I'm kinda obsessed actually. I've read it about five times already---I just makes me grin like a big dweeb.
I know we talked about music after I reviewed Shade, but now you know what a MASSIVE music junkie I am. I'm always on the look out for new bands, so feel free to send me recs of stuff you think I might like!

Awesome. I will have to check it out. I'm impressed lady, it's not often I see bands I don't know.
Also, the book is magnificent... and I have review it on bibliopunkk. I will do my best to handsell the hell out of it in my store. Happy debut!

Thank you so much!!! That makes me really happy! *grins*

Yes, they're all real bands. You can find playlists for the different characters at http://www.hopcusblog.com/playlists/. These include many of the songs from the book plus some extras that each character would like. I also have a list somewhere naming all the songs/bands in SH, and when I have a moment, I will find it and post it on the same page with the playlists. I'm so very, very happy that you're enjoying Shadow Hills!

I do have one thing to ask though. There's a lot of music mentioned in the book. Much of it I know, some of it I have never heard of. Are they all real bands? I try to make a playlist whenever I get a book that mentions so much music (hence why I love Urban Fantasy titles, they are often included). I'm dumb though, I didn't write things down as I was going and I'm going back now trying to find them. Do you have anything online that shows a playlist or am I SOL?
Thanks.
-Krys

haha, its one of those addictive words that catch on. and it kind of works for phe because phe is phenom. :)
another word im trying to give momentum to is 'stooge'. that ones just fun to say. so if any one is being negative about your book they are stooges.
good luck with your book and writing!

And thanks for the add, too! :P

I think that your book seems pretty good... can't wait to read it (as soon as I can get it at Mexico)!

I know what you mean---sometimes I can barely believe it myself! ;)

Thanks! I want you to read it too! Luckily, I'm not the one in charge of the ARCs---if I was they'd all be gone in a matter of hours. ;)
