No way?! 10 books in and they haven't changed the look & feel of the covers?! I'm in shock: can't count the number of series that I have that annoyingly changed livery part way through. even worse when they change the format too (from the little size paperback to the larger format ones).

But yes, with the Mercy Thompson series, and a few others, I've been lucky to have the same edition throughout the whole series. Of course in the meantime, there is another edition that comes out first, so I have to wait for this one to come out not quite a year later, but I don't mind waiting if I get the proper edition ;-)

I think the first one does exist as a game? Probably! I mean, it's a big thing in the sci-fi world, so it would make sense. Would have to google as well.

Quick, easy, a bit slight, but I enjoyed it. There's lots of love for books, which is always a good thing :)
We _do_ need three more reverses, so if you've got time to read it this month..... hint hint! ;-P

Ok. after flapping like a looney over the 58 books the UNO Pixie wants us to read for the mini (I could get over the loss of the UNO Pixie, who's being pretty evil this month, in my opinion!), I've worked out a prioritisation (see also the tab in the sheet):

9 down: U J A (U & J high points)
8 down: C C 4 (4 high points)
3 across: Q U A R (Q & U high points)
3 down: M A J G (J high points)
4 down: C A R Y (Y high points)

After that it's 5D, 6D, 2A, 1D, 2D (none of which have any high point letters), 7D (Y high point); 1A (BGC high points)

So, first priority letters (to complete the first words plus the high points in 1A & 7D) are:
4 1
A 4
(b 1)
C 3 (+1)
G 1 (+1)
J 2
M 1
Q 1
R 2
U 2
Y 1 (+1)

That's a much more manageable 22 books.

I have to admit though when I look at the lists you, Cat, and Louise have provided with the letters and how many of each there are, I go cross-eyed haha.

But I like your prioritisation idea. High points especially.

It sounds like a lot of books, yes, but we do read most of those for our Uno hands anyway (almost 100 books total per month). So the mini is half of that plus a little bit of a challenge ;-)

I slotted Silence Fallen in for a 6 card but I just noticed that Katie's read it, so I'll move it to a reverse card.

That then leaves 2 more reverse cards that need to be filled.
