Kathryn (an80slady6886) | 548 comments Thanks, Jan! I usually think of bigger brims with cowboy hats although I'm from the Midwest, so not totally familiar with different types of cowboy hats. Although we would like to get out of Illinois and we are hoping to go to Texas (Dallas area).

Kathryn (an80slady6886) | 548 comments I finished 62, a ladies hat with Frontier Grit The Unlikely True Stories of Daring Pioneer Women by Marianne Monson Frontier Grit: The Unlikely True Stories of Daring Pioneer Women 3/2/18 ***. This was really an interesting read.

I can take #26 puppy with On the Banks of Plum Creek (Little House, #4) by Laura Ingalls Wilder . Although Jack is not technically a puppy, he is also described as a brindled bulldog and that dog is definitely not a bulldog; looks more like a terrier. If you'll accept that, the new itemto look for is a train or train station.

Yes, sorry. First I've planned to take another task, but decided against it, and with deleting the rest of the text my message got confusing, sorry! Finished and liked Cards on the Table

Jan | 20940 comments Appreciate the clarification Rosa! I will mark it as completed.

message 161: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20940 comments LOL...you are allowed to change your mind. That's a tough task Rosa - hope we have some space opera readers out there.

No Problem. I'm enjoying reading these books right now, so I sat down one night with OverDrive and scanned covers. That's how I found the snake, too. Plus it has me reading new authors, which is one of my goals this year. So it's good.

Jennifer | 306 comments I finished #53 - Cover with something chocolate with Brownies and Broomsticks (A Magical Bakery Mystery, #1) by Bailey Cates .

Does this work for #59 Skyscraper/Tower: Princess Elizabeth's Spy (Maggie Hope Mystery, #2) by Susan Elia MacNeal ? There is a castle tower in the background.

I'm reading a bunch of new cozy mysteries too this year. Making my way through first in series on kindle unlimited trying to find ones I want to continue with.

Good idea. I realized last year I was rereading so many books, or just reading things by familiar authors, that I wanted to make myself branch out more this year. So far I've found some really good new authors, so it's paying off. I just needed to shake myself out of my comfort zone a bit.

message 195: by Teri-K (last edited Mar 24, 2018 07:18AM) (new)

Teri-K | 1269 comments I finished #14 - Rainbow with The Promise of Home by Kathryn Springer. It wasn't that great, but that rainbow helped me out with several challenge tasks, so that's OK. :)

I can take #49 - car or truck. I have a couple of books that will work, like
Caught in the Middle (Amhearst Mystery Series #1) by Gayle Roper . Demise in Denim (Consignment Shop Mystery #4) by Duffy Brown or No Farm, No Foul (Farmer's Daughter Mystery #1) by Peg Cochran . I just don't know which one I'll be reading next.

New Task Horse-drawn vehicle. (Does not have to have a horse in the picture.)

message 196: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20940 comments Thanks Teri-K. I will reserve car or truck for you. But please let me know as soon as you decide which book you will be using so I can add the cover.
