Virginie | 6109 comments All fixed. Some cells didn't have the formulas (but numbers instead). It probably happened while copying the sheet to create yours. Should be all good now :)

EDIT: Ah! So it was you I saw fixing the formulas, Anni. Before I went and dragged down the cells like a barbarian ^_^

Haha yeah, I already guessed it was you ;) I would have done it like a barbarian too, it's way more effective than copy-pasting but my phone wouldn't let me! 😂

message 704: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments And you went against the beastly Scoresheet Problem, armed with just a phone app to help the damsel in distress? You truly are a knight ;)

1.917 million pages and counting... closing in on 2 million pages read in the competition...

message 706: by Brian (new)

Brian | 1681 comments It’s a fun competition. Makes me realize I read a lot by normal standards and very little compared to you animals in here. Think I’m at 70 + books and I’m in the middle of the pack. Haha. Awesome job

this is everybody in the competition combined... I've "only" read 97,000 ppages

message 708: by Siobhan (new)

Siobhan (poi5ongirl) | 8702 comments As if we've nearly read 2 million pages! We're amazing!

Angela Jr. | 1126 comments Wow that's awesome! I only got to join the competition in august and contributed 8353 pages so far :)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) | 1229 comments Hey guys, I just accidentally moved my tab when I was trying to scroll. I'm not sure if it messed up the spreadsheet or not. I thought I'd mention it here just in case.

Tab order doesn't matter as long as the name didn't change... you can drag it back or I can in the morning...

message 714: by [deleted user] (new)

On the average points per day my rank is shown as zero. Just letting you know

Loralie | 48 comments Something is wrong with my sheet too. I can't insert anything in the "date completed" column. :(.......... or in any other column!

message 716: by Virginie (last edited Sep 29, 2018 05:53AM) (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Your sheet is protected so only those with the permission can modify it.

If you did it yourself (to avoid people messing with it), just check you're still logged in (with your Google account). If you didn't... You'll have to wait for Rob (or Iain) to unlock it.

Sorry I can't help you any more than that :/

message 717: by Timelord Iain, Tech Support (new)

Timelord Iain | 35338 comments Mod
Not me... some padlocked tabs I can mess with, others I can't... Pendra and Hacen I can't... only thing I/anyone can do until Rob shows up is duplicate the tab so you have an unlocked tab to play with... it's probably a login issue tho...

I quickly removed individual sheet permissions on personal pages. I'll look into the actual issue later unless someone else wants to tackle it.

I just updated my spreadsheet but it’s not calculating points. Thank you

message 724: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Just checked, and everything seems fine. Sometimes, the spreadsheet is a bit slow, and you have to wait before seeing your points appear.

message 725: by Timelord Iain, Tech Support (new)

Timelord Iain | 35338 comments Mod
or just bite the bullet and reload the page to get calculations to start working again... we have so many calculations built-in to the spreadsheet, that sometimes the browser has issues loading them all...

message 727: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you. On the second page on the farthest right column is shows my rank as zero. I know that its not important but it bothers me and I would appreciate it if you could get it fixed.

message 728: by Siobhan (new)

Siobhan (poi5ongirl) | 8702 comments Could someone with expertise please look at the sheet? On my page, line 87 is just broken altogether and line 100 for example has points but no date completed. I think something has gone out of line somehow, and a formula has been messed up! 😭😭
Thanks!

Thanks... I put in a concerted push to accomplish this, after reading 25% less in August and September...

Charlie wrote: "Well done Iain!! That's an amazing amount of points."

I'm not sure the new rules will let anyone hit 2000 points next year... With Buddy Reads and Challenges having less of an effect (50/25% -> 25/10%), and reading physical books earning 25-33% bonus points over my audiobook points, I think everybody in the top 5 right now would be fighting for position around 1700-1800 points...

That's wonderful Iain...congrats...2001 is a phenomenal amt of points, as was sustaining that tireless superhuman pace all thru the year.
And not the least of your achievements was (additionally) dealing with all my wordy rubbish throughout the year...haha, I had such fun indulging my superhyper impersonation of Colin Creevey on 'Roids...totally trashed your tracker, man...*CRINGE* sorry for that!
And you were really were so tolerant and enduring thru it all...
I know I must've severely tried the limits of your patience several times but you were never less than polite and kind, you never got annoyed or offended, and you were always such a sport. Thanks for that.
Truly, you're ALSO indefatigably nice.
😊

Best of luck for next year...defending champion now!
And...
(view spoiler)
Damn, should've been here sooner...read for 24 hours straight and then overslept. It's evening almost here. I'm not even gonna attempt the timezone math.

Everyone will be happy to know I finally went in and plugged in challenges for the last 2 weeks of October, so my final tally of 2005.8 points is official, and not a placeholder... and then I made those numbers permanent, so I can continue using the spreadsheet without skewing the Draft...

I basically made a point a couple weeks ago about leeway, so I would have some leeway in making my spreadsheet data final... I realized a couple months ago that I got full challenge points for blank spots, since the cell checks for Ns to zero out... so my points didn't go up any, they just became official...

I'm curious what my points will look like next year... I'm planning less re-reads and more Incomplete Series catch-up reads, and this might lead to less Buddy Reads... all with the points changes... who knows?

I think it's Super Secret... it's private anyway... all I know about it is that the mods are going to do a Skype group call... they have a couple weeks to plan it... I assume it's going to get harder to plan the closer to the holidays it gets...

People joked about wanting to commentate like a sports draft...

It's looking like the weekend of Dec 8-9 because of all of our schedules.

More or less accurate. It's not really secret and the reason for doing the live draft was twofold. First to cut down on Niki's admin time to choose the teams. Second we thought it would be a treat for the mods to get together and have a few laughs while picking the teams.
