SOLVED. I read a book between 2008 and 2009 and can't remember its name but remember details [s]

I can't remember the books' title author or character names however i can supply a few quotes and minor details I can remember. I remember that the book had to do with vampires in a school of some sort and the school was the setting of at least the first few chapters of the book.in one scene that i remember, the main character and his best friend (who he happens to crush on) are at some sort of school party drinking blood lite. He has an odd fascination of looking at the roof of her mouth when she laughs.
Another scene i remember is when the main character is about to leave the school, running away, and he remembers to grab his watchmen's pin that his best friend gave to him. i think it was his favorite comic.
In the chapter called Rendezvous, i can remember another character telling him that he cannot kill his maker/sire himself because it will kill him too.
I think the book was all black with yellow writing for the title and on the spine was the watchmen's pin but i think it had vampire fangs on it.

Thank you for any help as i enjoy to not only read new books but to also re-read books that i have previously enjoyed.
