Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Hey Danii! Thank you 🤗

message 52: by Shae (new)

Shae Petersen | 6944 comments So glad you are feeling better Beatrice! I am about 2/3 through an audio book of Pretty girls and half way through queen of the tearling :)

message 53: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments I'm reading a really little book this morning, A Monk's Guide to a Clean House and Mind by Shoukei Matsumoto , and carrying on with my BR of The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater , this afternoon.

message 54: by Beatrice (last edited Jan 16, 2018 02:25AM) (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Thank you Shae! Is Pretty Girls good? I've been curious about that one :)

message 55: by Dannii (last edited Jan 19, 2018 11:19AM) (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments How are you all getting on with your reading by the way? I'm about 150 pages away from the end of The Dream Thieves, which I am LOVING! My next read is going to be The Shadow Queen and then either An Ember in the Ashes or The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Hoping to get three books read, this weekend and all of which are BRs so maximum points there :D

message 56: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 11128 comments I'm reading Shadow Queen on Sunday! I started Ready Player One today and I'm listening to The Hate U Give, which is great.
You are a reading machine Dannii!

message 57: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Good morning / evening lovelies! I'm 44% done with Royal Ruin and halfway through with This Song Will Save Your Life. I should be done on or before Monday. :)

Happy reading to all of you and have a wonderful weekend!

message 58: by Shae (new)

Shae Petersen | 6944 comments @beatrice, I really liked pretty girls! It was a different kind of read for me and I didn’t even read the synopsis before reading so it was a good one to jump blindly into. How’s this song will save your life?

@Danii you are a reading machine haha!

@Aly I think first place gets 2 free ebooks, second 1? Well I’m pretty sure it was like that when I participated a few months ago.

I am nearly finished Someone Else's Summer by Rachel Bateman and am half way through The Queen of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #1) by Erika Johansen both buddies so that’s good!

message 59: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments Aah we're doing awesome, guys :D holding on to the top spot!

I'm lucky I've quite a bit of free time to get lots of reading done. A lot more than I thought I would this month, anyway!

I read Pretty Girls last month and really loved it too!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend filled with lots of reading :)

message 60: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) @Shae - so glad to hear that! I think I'm gonna read that soon. It looks intriguing. This Song Will Save Your Life is really good so far. Quite a trenage angst :)

Hi Team Cold Brew, just to let you know that Akshaya never replied to my message so I would guess that she is no longer participating. I will look into finding a replacement team member for you ☺

message 62: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments No worries. Thank you, Sarah :D

message 63: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Currently reading Ghosted by J.M. Darhower and Without Merit by Colleen Hoover . Both are buddy reads and I still have to read Year One (Chronicles of The One, #1) by Nora Roberts but I'm not in the mood to read it yet... I still have 2 buddy reads coming up!

message 64: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) I think I'll be writing brief reviews to count for the challenge. It's taking me hours or days to write my full review. haha

message 65: by Dannii (last edited Jan 21, 2018 06:08AM) (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments I'm the same, Beatrice. I started the month with full reviews but the last few reads have only had status updates and a one line review attached. Oops.

Didn't get as much reading as I would have liked yesterday so going to do a mini readathon for one today. Really hoping to get The Shadow Queen (Ravenspire, #1) by C.J. Redwine , A Whole New World (A Twisted Tale #1) by Liz Braswell , As Old As Time (Twisted Tales, #3) by Liz Braswell , and Once Upon a Dream (Twisted Tales #2) by Liz Braswell read as all are BRs (think that is probably over-ambitious though).

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm doing a readathon this week so I will try to fit in as many books as I can! I'm sorry I'm not reading more team

message 67: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) I posted a review. I ended up having a quick read. Lol. My current reads are giving me reading slumps.

message 68: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) I am halfway done with Without Merit. Finally, I pulled it off after struggling a couple of chapters.

Oh no, slumps are the worst. I am feeling the same with my current read so have moved on o Blue Lily, Lily Blue, instead.

So true! I forced myself to go through it and gladly picked up its pace. I ended up finishing tonight. I did some reading while before my doctor's appointment and while on queue. :) I'm making progress yaas

message 72: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments Yay! I feel like my pace has really slumped over the past week but flew through Blue Lily, Lily Blue and have hopefully got my reading mojo back 😂

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) 5% done on Ghosted by JM Darhower. Hope to finish this asap for 8 pts wahaha!

message 75: by Shae (new)

Shae Petersen | 6944 comments I finished queen of the tearling last night, which is a buddy and I found a 600 page edition. Just have to do my review. Also half way through you were here. And have started wallbanger. Today is Australia Day though so might not get too much reading done :)

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

Alright about to post a review for a book I just finished!

message 77: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Happy weekend lovelies! I'm 102 pages in Roomies and 18% done with Ghosted. Both are buddy reads :)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments Happy weekend to you, too. I'm doing the 24in48 readathon so hoping to blast through my tbr pile over the nest two days :)

My plans are to read all the books I already said I would this week, haha. Fingers crossed I can get to some of these as all are BRs:

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments Thanks, Beatrice. Happy reading to you, too! And no worries, I hope your internet gets sorted for you, quickly :)

I second with Dannii. We got this! Plus, Shae still have to post her review on Queen of the Tearling w/c is a 12 pointer. ;) Then Aly has RPO and The Shadow Queen, Dannii still has a lot of BR to knock down and I still have Dear Bridget, I Want You.

message 89: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) I am 20% with Dear Bridget, I Want You. It's a BR.

message 90: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Is there any book we can BR all together? :)

message 91: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 11128 comments I submitted Shadow Queen I thought. I'll definitely finish RPO tomorrow and hopefully First Days. I can try to BR a quick book starting tomorrow night. something new?

I forgot you submitted Shadow Queen 😭 sorry my bad. What book do you have in mind? Still thinking a book for my final entry

message 93: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments I finished up 2 books yesterday but neither were buddies. I have 6 books left to read and 5 are BRs (The Raven King, The Sin-Eater's Daughter trilogy, and the rest of Shadow Queen). I'm up for another group BR. What book did you have in mind?

message 94: by Beatrice (last edited Jan 30, 2018 02:29AM) (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Here are my options for my final entry : Boys South of the Mason Dixon (South of the Mason Dixon, #1) by Abbi Glines Listen to Me (Fusion, #1) by Kristen Proby The Devouring (The Devouring, #1) by Simon Holt since they're short. Though I've skipped one of my BR Year One (Chronicles of The One, #1) by Nora Roberts . I'm not sure I can finish this by tomorrow if ever I finish Dear Bridget tonight

Do you guys have any suggestions that are quick to read?

message 95: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9856 comments Just realised we have TWO days left of this challenge so doubt I'll get another read, as well as the six I still need to finish.

Just go with whichever intrigues you the most, Beatrice, and that you think you can get read :)
