What Are You Reading? - 2018

Now, what will I read next......?

If you want to pick it up I could probably keep it in my head though. The nice thing with this book is it's really just one event of Roland's back story so it kind of sets itself apart from the others.

Sounds like you're having fun with your reread, Travis. You're flying through them. I have to say, Wizard and Glass was my least favorite of the series. I wonder if that will change when I finally get around to my reread. What do you think of it so far?

Thanks, Patty. I think I will end up going for the Kindle version. I probably should have gone for that in the first place.

Next up is This Dark Road to Mercy which is for my zodiac challenge.

You are the second person I have seen make that observation about Skyward Sarah. I will not rush out to buy it I think as YA is often not my genre.
Strange to say, after that comment, I am listening to Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow! I absolutely, completely love it! Yes, the tropes are old news but they work for me :-D

I think I will start The Amulet of Samarkand next. Still have Educated active but stalled! I an not in the right mood for NF.

Now, I'm ready for book 2 in the Interdependency series.
I'll resume The Violets of March now that I'm home.

Thanks, Patty. I think I will end up going for the Kindle version. I probably should have gone for that in the first place."
I think I've mostly given away some old favourite books that are just physically too uncomfortable for me to read now. I'm glad I live in a time where I can adjust the 'reading material' to suit myself!

I've not read much James Patterson, but I know he's famous for short chapters so you keep saying to yourself that you'll just read one more, then one more, then one more . . . : )

I'll start book 2 in the Interdependency series, The Consuming Fire today.

Starting Believe Me.

I feel your pain 😉

Uh huh. And it drives me crazy when I set one of the challenges!!

I'll start Blood Orchids tonight for my zodiac challenge.

I moved on to One Day which I have higher hopes of.

Now, the kiddos and I have started the Artemis Fowl series, and I'm off to find something to read for the monthly challenge. Decembers are a little crazy around here; so we'll see how much reading I manage to get done.
Edited to add: Okay, I seriously just went and looked to see what the monthly challenge is. Um, I guess I'm reading Artemis Fowl for that. Woot Woot! I love it when things work out like that.

No, this was my first although there are a couple of others on my radar. I bought it because it was on sale on Kindle. There were parts of this one that I didn't particularly care for, but over all, I liked it.
Which one did you like, and which didn't you? I'd be curious to hear your opinion before I try another.

I just looked up The Winter Garden. The great Alone is also about the bond between a mother and daughter, but in this one, they get along from the beginning. Also, it doesn't skip around from the present to the past. Maybe you'll like it better.
