And they don’t take long at all to get through.

My girls have swimming lessons this afternoon so hopefully I can find a corner to hide in by the pool and get in some Runaway time!
I’m going to read The First Horror as soon as I get done with my 2 current books. So maybe next weekend? It will be soon.
The Girlfriend
Be Afraid - Be Very Afraid! - GB 2000
Bad Hare Day - GB
Attack of the Mutant - GB
Monster Dog - Fear Street

The used book store I visited had more, but the ones I got were 1.99 or 1.79. I wasn't going to pay 2-3.99 for them. :D
Nice Haul, Alan. It is so rare to run across any RL Stine books at our used stores (when I do, it is usually something I already own!)I'm not doing so good reading wise because Disney+ came out and I'm also obsessed with my Switch (got several new games for Black Friday)
I'll try to start The First Horror soon. I've read it so many times so I don't know if I'll really get into rereading it again for the millionth time. The last time was 2015, but it feels like yesterday.
I'm doing the Queer Lit Readathon, the last day of which is the 7th so after that I can read The First Horror. I haven't read it, to my knowledge.

Page 2: "There's a Beach Boys concert..." That just made me giggle. Hey, I like the Beach Boys, my mom listened to them, but so, so dated. Means I'm dated, too. (view spoiler)
I read it back when I came over on the Mayflower. I was a teen? Preteen? It’s been a while but I remember I loved these 3.
I'm reading the William Meikle bood at the moment so should be able to get to this either over the weekend or early next week :) I'm looking forward to this one, I just came across the next book second-hand.
Starting 99 Fear Street tonight. Every time he says the name Jimmy, Morrison is just a few words away. I wonder if Bob like The Doors too? They are my favorite band.
Cracks in a 2 month old foundation?! Come on guys! This house isn’t going to be standing in a year from then.
Chapter 2- When I was little & would spend the weekends with my granny & pa, you could hear possums running up & down in the walls. Or at least that’s what they told us it was.
Chapter 1: "You've got cooties!"
"You've got dog breath!" Way to be immature and kind of annoying.
"The house is haunted! I know it is!" Oh, Kody, if only you knew the truth about Fear Street.
I think kids generally are supposed to be annoying.Dang rats. I've only read the first 2 chapters so far. I need to go to bed soon. I'll read more tomorrow. I am liking what little i've read so far though. :)

that's the only reason i stopped reading last night. i was 1:30 and i needed to go to sleep.
I've had rats and mice as pets, so I always am so confused when people are scared of rodents. Fear Street rats, though... lolChapter 3:
That family is way too trusting. If you've read past this, you might know what I mean.
I don't think i'm scared of rats or mice but I haven't seen them that often either. But I would probably scream if one jumped on my leg too, but I assume anything that touches me before I know what it is is a spider until proven otherwise. And i'm easily startled.
I finished this today. I liked it even through the holes. (view spoiler) I'm going with 4 stars on this one.

I have read 8 chapters so far and they are definitely too trusting.
So I'm not even finished yet, just read 15 chapters, and I just got paid and i'm dying to finish the book asap and from the responses/reviews...I just bought books 2 & 3 since I bought them used because I can see i'm going to want to continue and see what happens. At least from the looks of it.

So the question is will I be able to focus on my TBR or say to heck with it and just read them instead?
I have now read 21 chapters (view spoiler)
I finished it too and kept it at my 3-star rating. I think I might not give it a higher rating because I've read it so much, and at this point, it is a little boring. But I don't want to use "boring" because I do really like the plot and all that. Maybe you know what I mean.I have the rest of the books as well. They feel really fresh in my memory, so I'm not sure I will read them again right away.
Edit: Changed it to 4 stars for nostalgia's sake!

Leigha wrote: "[spoilers removed] If that is what you mean....well.... just poor them, poor them."Yea. Now i'll just have to try to stop myself from diving right into books 2 & 3 when they arrive to find out what happened. lol
Yeah me too! But mine’s way up high on a shelf so they aren’t in my line of sight. It’s easier to not notice them. I have 2 more to read before this month is over.
I'm so behind but I just read The Runaway. I liked it--the telekinesis was different. I don't remember seeing too much like that in other Fear Streets (unless I'm just not remembering). I'm on to the The First Horror!
