The used book store I visited had more, but the ones I got were 1.99 or 1.79. I wasn't going to pay 2-3.99 for them. :D

Nice Haul, Alan. It is so rare to run across any RL Stine books at our used stores (when I do, it is usually something I already own!)

I'm not doing so good reading wise because Disney+ came out and I'm also obsessed with my Switch (got several new games for Black Friday)

I'll try to start The First Horror soon. I've read it so many times so I don't know if I'll really get into rereading it again for the millionth time. The last time was 2015, but it feels like yesterday.

that's the only reason i stopped reading last night. i was 1:30 and i needed to go to sleep.

I've had rats and mice as pets, so I always am so confused when people are scared of rodents. Fear Street rats, though... lol

Chapter 3:

That family is way too trusting. If you've read past this, you might know what I mean.

Rats and mice don’t bother me either. But if one jumped at me... I might back track a little.

I don't think i'm scared of rats or mice but I haven't seen them that often either. But I would probably scream if one jumped on my leg too, but I assume anything that touches me before I know what it is is a spider until proven otherwise. And i'm easily startled.

I finished this today. I liked it even through the holes. (view spoiler)[ I like that we don't find out if there is just 1 entity behind the haunting or if it's all those victims. I like that we don't find out what the deal with the realtor is. I do think he's a ghost but I don't know what he's doing with the money. By the end I felt like this poor family had just lost it. Omg! I just realized they lost a son & daughter too just like the original family. (hide spoiler)] I'm going with 4 stars on this one.

Chapter 15 (view spoiler)[That "hold your breath when you pass by a graveyard" superstition bothered me when I started middle school...because it's impossible to hold one's breath for hours, all day. The middle school I went to was right in front of a cemetery. Well still is so I wonder if any of the kids that go there now are worried about the superstition like I was. Just had to hope the spirits didn't mind.

I have finished and gave it 5 stars. That had me on the edge of my seat!

I finished it too and kept it at my 3-star rating. I think I might not give it a higher rating because I've read it so much, and at this point, it is a little boring. But I don't want to use "boring" because I do really like the plot and all that. Maybe you know what I mean.

I have the rest of the books as well. They feel really fresh in my memory, so I'm not sure I will read them again right away.

Edit: Changed it to 4 stars for nostalgia's sake!

I'm so behind but I just read The Runaway. I liked it--the telekinesis was different. I don't remember seeing too much like that in other Fear Streets (unless I'm just not remembering). I'm on to the The First Horror!
