I don't know if I'll want to read The Stepsister again. (We did last year) I might try and find the sequel though. :)

Sorry I haven't kept up guys, I realized I didn't even get to The Wrong Number from last month! Home's been a bit chaotic lately for a variety of reasons (mostly aged between 9-12 and of the child-like variety) but it's school holidays now and I'm off work for two weeks so I'll be playing catch-up on my reading.
I got the old school Babysitter covers (all 4 books in a box set) from my childhood. I rebought some of the new covers (as a last resort) when I forgot I still had my childhood copies. Yeah, those covers are not cool!!!Don't worry Melanie, I also did not read The Wrong Number yet because I got sick and I still haven't caught up. We can catch up together if you want to. :) ( I did read this months book already, though.)

I started the wrong Number, only 2 months late! I'm already just over 1/2 way through and was enjoying it but (view spoiler)
I finished Blind Date. This was probably one of weaker Stine's I've re-read. And what's with the little kid drinking beer in the beginning? LOL
Me too. My current read is a 'tiny' 596 pages and although I don't like to read too many fictions at the same time, I'm pretty sure Stine's book won't take too much grey matter to follow.
I finally found some Goosebump books last weekend at library sales and a thrift store, so now I can see what all the fuss is. :D
Tyler J [They/He] wrote: "I'm going to start The Baby-Sitter. Not sure how much i'll get read tonight but i'm starting it. :)"ok. i'll do the same. i need to go read anyways lol.
Latasha wrote: "Page 1- is that a deer? No it’s a rock. That must be one big ass rock."😂I was thinking the same thing lol.
Omg these girls 😂. As paranoid as Jenny is about taking this job, I’m really glad she’s never seen village of the damned. With the description of Donny, she would be scared to death. I hope one day she learns to listen to that gut feeling. And did you think she was a shitty friend- she forgot her bff was sitting next to her? How do u forget that?!
Latasha wrote: "Omg these girls 😂. As paranoid as Jenny is about taking this job, I’m really glad she’s never seen village of the damned. With the description of Donny, she would be scared to death. Now I need to see village of the damned😂
I saw the remake in the 90’s? I can’t remember if I’ve seen the original version. Ghostbusters is awesome and the chair with the tape? The previous owners must have had a cat. 😝
I haven't seen any village of the damned. I haven't seen ghostbusters in years but I do remember it was awesome.
Page 16- the attacks on the babysitters. I would like to recommend this documentary called KILLER LEGENDS. This couple explores the truths behind urban legends. It’s really good & really scary for women, especially if you live alone.
Soooooo...finished my first Goosebumps
No depth to Stine's writing (what was I expecting for grade schoolers) but surprisingly better than his for adult books. And did not. see. that. ending. coming.

Oh lord, you read one of them too? We read Red Rain and I think I was the only one that finished it. It was awful.
I've read 4 chapters so far and dear lord this is one thirsty boy. And yes, definitely one creepy ass neighbor!I haven't read that Goosebumps book in particular.
Latasha wrote: "Oh lord, you read one of them too? We read Red Rain and I think I was the only one that finished it. It was awful."Yea I DNF'd Red Rain at 70% of the way through. I just couldn't anymore.
Yeah, I don’t like Chuck either. His under the table joke was not funny & he needs to learn when to stop.
Yeah. And Jenny. She thought leaves were dancing squirrels. I don’t know about her. She needs to find an artistic outlet. I bet she would be a great painter or artist.
I literally just read that part with the dancing squirrels. Yea...I don't know about her either. Imagination gone a bit wild.
Latasha wrote: "Chapter 9 that whole food bit? I really, really hate that. My mom does it to this day. I hate it."Reminded me a little of my granny, only not entirely. She'll basically force feed you then say you're fat oh but don't forget to eat it all up or she gets offended, but also won't let you forget you're fat (most of my family is fat).
At this point it's like "she's 94 years old, just let it go"
I get away with not eating much because of my medical issues. I eat I just can't eat a lot.
Chapter 6 - Chuck's a jerk.Chapter 7, Jenny just got the 1st phone call. Has anyone else seen the movie 'When a stranger calls'?

Nope
It's a horror classic! Watch it here for free -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNkgf...One of my favourite 70's horror. The twist at the end is a kicker :)

I read both Superstitious and Red Rain. I don't think they were terrible, but they were grossly disappointing considering Stine's reputation. They felt like a child's book author trying to adulterize his books.
