Krishnan | 2 comments Hi, can anyone tell me the title of this book ( it may also be a short story that is part of a book, I read it a long time ago and I don't really remember):

So this book is about a man, who is the son of a millionaire- he loves partying and is addicted to casinos and gambling. One day he doesn't feel so well during a party or something, so he wanders about his house and stumbles upon a book. Its about an Indian, who has meditated for so long that he gained the ability to see through objects. The indian man proves his ability to see through objects by going to professional doctors and asks them to blindfold his eyes so that he can't see, but he will walk perfectly without bumping into any walls and he can tell what the doctors are doing. Intrigued by this book, he feels that if he could do what the Indian did, he could see through the playing cards and hed be able to win everytime at casinos. So he stays in his room, and for years , he tries to gain focus by looking at the small black area of a flame, and empties his mind of all thoughts except one. He gains the power to see through objects, after many years; and he hones his skill. He then goes to casinos and tests his new skills out, and he wins because he is able to see through others cards. He does this repeatedly, and afraid that the casino owners will ban him from coming to casinos because he always wins, he takes on different identities and travels the world, going into every casino and always winning. He donates most of the money to charity, keeping just the money needed for essentials, and he hires a professional disguise artist to help him have different identities so he can play in the same casino more than once. But he eventually dies, and that disguise artist reveals the man's story.

I'm sorry for being kind of vague, but it was a really long time ago and I don't remember anything else. Thank you in advance.
