Where does this book fit?
It would fit the time travel prompt!
I thought I saw Peace Like A River recommended under one of the challenge categories, but can't find it now. Where would this book fit in for the 2018 categories? Peace Like a River
Outlander could fit into:-a book involving time travel (best fit)
-a book set in a country that fascinates you (if you are fascinated by Scotland)
-a book you meant to read in 2017 but didn't get to
-your favorite prompt from previous popsugar challenges (there are quite a few that would work, but 2017's first book in a series is an easy one)
-a book tied to your ancestry (if you have Scottish or English heritage)
-a book recommended by someone else taking the challenge (me, me!)
If you choose to continue the series you can use the other books to fill different prompts as well. Just let us know if you get that far and we can help!
Charlie wrote: "Where could I fit All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven?"It would work for:
-a book about death or grief
-a book about mental health
-past goodreads choice award winner (2015)
-a book recommended by someone else taking the challenge (I will recommend this one as well!)
Nikki wrote: "I thought I saw Peace Like A River recommended under one of the challenge categories, but can't find it now. Where would this book fit in for the 2018 categories? Peace Like a River"I haven't read Peace Peace Like a River yet, but it would work for a book with song lyrics in the title.
Nikki wrote: "I thought I saw Peace Like A River recommended under one of the challenge categories, but can't find it now. Where would this book fit in for the 2018 categories? Peace Like a River"This would also work for a book set in the decade you were born if it's the 1960's. :)
Hi ! I really want to read "No Country For Old Men" in January but I don't see where it could fit (I don't really know the plot so..). If someone could help me with that, it would be great ! Prompts like the ancestry, birth decade and graduation ones don't fit unfortunately..Thaaanks

@RachelNo Country for Old Men is a movie. Could you watch the movie and then read the book, therefore fitting it into the movie category?
Melanie wrote: "Where would Drive by Daniel H. Pink fit?"How about "a book with song lyrics in the title"? Incubus has a song called Drive. Or, I suppose you could use it for "a book about a problem facing society today."
I'm doing a buddy read starting on the 1st of January.. and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah could fit?
Crumb wrote: "I'm doing a buddy read starting on the 1st of January.. and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah could fit?"Maybe the one with an animal in the title?
Crumb wrote: "I'm doing a buddy read starting on the 1st of January.. and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah could fit?"There's some alliteration in the word "firefly", so you could use it for that.
There is also another category I can think of that it would fit into, but, I don't think I want to say yet because it would give you spoilers..
Linda wrote: "Crumb wrote: "I'm doing a buddy read starting on the 1st of January.. and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah could fit?"..."
OK, I appreciate your consideration, Linda!
Floor wrote: "Crumb wrote: "I'm doing a buddy read starting on the 1st of January.. and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah could fit?"..."
Floor, do you think firefly could count as an animal?
Crumb wrote: "I'm doing a buddy read starting on the 1st of January.. and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah could fit?"After you read Firefly you could read Fly Away which would then take care of the "next book in a series" category.
Linda wrote: "Has anyone read Mudbound?Would it fit any of the categories?"
Mudbound is coming out as a movie, but I'm not sure of the release date.

I just checked; it's on Netflix. I have Netflix, so... yay! That will totally work. I'll watch the movie, then read the book. Thanks for the suggestion!
Dawn wrote: "Where would How to Hang a Witch by Mather fit?"I don't think it exactly takes place on Halloween, but during the Halloween season, so that might work. It would definitely fit in the "favorite prompt from 2015, 2016 or 2017 challenge."
Hi! I was dying to finally read Me Before You this year and didn't get around to it. Any ideas as to where it could fit with this challenge? My list is near complete but I'd be willing to swap!
Tara wrote: "Hi! I was dying to finally read Me Before You this year and didn't get around to it. Any ideas as to where it could fit with this challenge? Tara wrote: "Hi! I was dying to finally read Me Before You this year and didn't get around to it. Any ideas as to where it could fit with this challenge? My list is near complete but I'd be willing to swap!"Or it could obviously fit "A book you meant to read in 2017 but didn't get to"
Krithika wrote: "Hi, I really want to read The Sense of an Ending. Would it fit into any category?"The movie comes out in March
Kerry wrote: "Would the The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes fit any of the prompts?"
Yes! It is mentioned in other books (such as The Thirteenth Tale), so you can use it for that!

Kerry wrote: "Would the The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes fit any of the prompts?"There have been oodles of screen adaptations, plays and musicals, and also I recommend it.
Tara wrote: "Hi! I was dying to finally read Me Before You this year and didn't get around to it. Any ideas as to where it could fit with this challenge? My list is near complete but I'd be willing to swap!"I just finished that book yesterday and OMG it was so good! It would also work for the prompt about involving a bookstore or library. It's not a huge part of the book but Louisa does visit the library several times throughout the book.
Any thoughts on where Americanah could fit in the challenge? I was thinking an author of a different ethnicity than me, but I already had a few I wanted to read there.
Melanie wrote: "Where would you put Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood?"Novel based on a real person but that might be bookriot's challenge lol

*It's set in both Nigeria and the USA, so if either of those countries fascinate you, you could use that.
*It talks a little bit about racism in the US and some social issues in UK and Nigeria, so you could use it for "problem facing society."
* I can't find any celebrity book clubs that chose it, but that doesn't mean there aren't any! Check that out more closely.
*You could perhaps decide the cover is ugly! (not really a stretch in my opinion!)
* Maybe it's a book you meant to read in 2017?

I have a book checked out on my overdrive called The Secrets She Keeps. Has anyone read it and can you recommend a prompt it would fulfill? Thanks!
Dawn wrote: "Where would How to Hang a Witch by Mather fit?"It might be a stretch, but you could maybe connect it to the prompt about a real person since the characters are descendants of Cotton Mathers.
I would really like to read something from the Discworld Series, preferably starting with the first (The Colour of Magic?) would this fit in to any of the prompts? Thank you!
Has anyone read My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent? Does it fit anywhere other than a book I meant to read in 2017?
Carla wrote: "I have a book checked out on my overdrive called The Secrets She Keeps. Has anyone read it and can you recommend a prompt it would fulfill? Thanks!"I am going to use this book for a prompt from 2017 POPSUGAR Reading Challenge - "Book published in 2017"
I have a "book" about Hubert Humphrey. It is not a "novel". Does that count as a book/novel based on a real person? Thanks.

My question is, which prompts do Outlander fulfill?
Thanks!
