Raiden laughed. "Who care's if it is noble or not." he said. "It gets you money and a thrill, that is a perfectly acceptable answer." Not that his reason is that moral either. Hunters get certain benefits and securities, he wanted those. He was still worried about how the teams were being pick, but that was just one of his suspicions. "Why... why do you think they are having us sleep in this hall instead of giving us rooms?" it was a valid question, as if they were not expecting everyone to continue on and did not want to waist room space.

"Is this device needed? Can I simply be rid of it? I would rather not have to deal with such an annoying contraption every day," she said with a frown as she tried to shake it to make it work, clearly having a tougher time than Ebony. "I wonder how much heat this could take," she said under her breath.

Rionnna nodded to one of the twins she admittedly couldn't tell apart yet as they walked towards the lines. "So, what do you think tomorrow will entail?" she asked casually as they waited in line.

Mavi started to walk towards the teacher with Rionna. ((Is it just me or is her name getting more n each time you post)) "I would assume it would start off with breakfast and then we start the tests." he said, looking back at her. "It is best to try to gather information so that we have a solid plan for teaming up." he paused for a second. "That is if you want to be on a team with my brother an i..."

((i also have a second year who can be a teacher's assistant and interact with someone as well.))

Melissa | 48 comments Akala walked into the amphitheater, eying everything around her with some modicum I’d distrust. She was on edge in large spaces with a lot of people since she was too unused to it even now. She tucked her unusually pink hair behind her ears, trying not to be self-conscious about it.

(uh well anyone who wants someone to interact with can have their character come up to her...)

message 113: by [deleted user] (new)

((I guess I will))
Cerise smiled and breathed deeply, gathering as much courage as she possible could before stepping up and introducing herself to the new person who just entered the room, she needed to be more brave and talk to people "H-h-hello, m-m-my n-n-name I-I-I-is C-c-cerise, w-w-what's y-y-yours?" She asked with a stutter((Note, this is not out of nervousness, she has a really bad stutter))

message 114: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 48 comments Akala’s eyes cut to the newcomer and she all but glared as she sized up the girl. “Akala though I don’t recall asking for your name.” She said, practically hearing her teacher chastise her for such rudeness... Well teacher wasn’t here.

message 115: by [deleted user] (new)

"O-o-ohh, I-I-I t-t-thought t-t-that w-w-was c-c-considered n-n-nice?" She asked with a questioning look, not realising what she did was somewhat rude, she was still learning social things and as such was a little confused

message 116: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 48 comments "I don't know about everyone else but I'm not here to be nice." She said, rolling her eyes. "Becoming a Huntress means being able to fight off Grimm not smile and make everyone feel warm and fuzzy on the inside." Though her tone was perhaps a bit harsh her heart really was in the right place.

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

((Assume she is constantly stuttering, not going to type like that))
"I already can fight, want to make friends" She tried to explain, she really didn't know how to talk to people that well, and even with her harsh tone, she didn't exactly get what she was talking about

message 118: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 48 comments Akala clicked her tongue in clear annoyance. "Who needs friends? Objectivity in battle is way more important." She scoffed. It would be harder to actually save someone if you cared about them, they could distract you if they weren't pulling their weight in a fight and that would just get them killed anyway.

message 119: by [deleted user] (new)

She blinked "Your mean" And with that she started to walk away, she talked like her parents did, she did not want that in her life, she came here to get away from that kind of thinking! She wanted to make friends, not just train

"I will take what I can get with teams if that is how these trials work, but for now we should see if the teachers are tight lipped about the trials ahead or not," Rionnnnna said as she tried to think of ways this test would go down. Would it be a test of wits? Might? Indoor or outdoor? There was a lot that could be going on.

((I've been busy helping move other people and myself from other houses and me to college so I've been busy, sorry.))

Mavi nodded as they walked towards the nearest teacher. When they arrived Mavi was the first to speak. “I am picking things up for Mavi and Yahto.” He said softly. The teacher nodded and handed everything necessary to him.
“Here you go. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.” She said kindly. “You are included too Riona.” Mavi was not surprised to hear this.
“You know your students well then.” He said cunningly.

Rionnnnnnnna chuckled slightly in embarrassment that someone would know her name and she would not know theirs. Her inner teachings of always being proper and ready only fed to make her look a fool. "Yes, well, I was simply wondering what you think the test might entail tomorrow," she said as she took her own scroll.

Pixie_Sky -- please check bio for explanation on why I am not on | 444 comments Mod
The teacher looked at the two with a serious look. “Where did you learn that there would be a test tomorrow.” They had not released anything about the test to the students and were just letting them spread around gossip. This piece of information, however, could not have been.
Mavi looked at her with a confused face. “I just did some research before coming here. If you dig enough you can find information anywhere.” He said. “I managed to find out a lot, but the type of test was not one. If that os a huge deal, i can help create a better security system.” He felt bad.

Ebony shook her head at her fellow learner. "You shouldn't break it. It has its uses, if you just learn it for those, at least." She stretched her shoulders, feathers trembling. This was interesting.

Melanie smiled at Raiden. "I think they want to see how we interact together. I feel like they must be observing us closely to judge prospective troublemakers or class achievers. It's always good to know the hotheads in advance."

Pixie_Sky -- please check bio for explanation on why I am not on | 444 comments Mod
Raiden looked around. He would notice if someone was watching him closely, but that was not happening. However, what she said made sense. He looked around the room once more. “It would be good to watch the others as well.” He had noticed that some had already disappeared into the locker rooms, but kept a close eye one everyone else.

"I suppose so, but really we should rest up for whatever happens tomorrow. I investigated a little bit with some current students, and they let slip a few things. Not that it was much of a lead, but there's some fun activity coming up."

Pixie_Sky -- please check bio for explanation on why I am not on | 444 comments Mod
Raiden smiled. "I hope so. if they were to let us stay here without any motive, that would be weird." his eyes fell on a pair talking to a teacher. it seemed as though they knew what was going on and had asked a teacher about it. "Look at those two for a second." he said, pointing to the pair. "They know something."

Rionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnna looked a bit taken back by the teacher's surprise. "Well I knew that some students did not attent actaul academy's before going here, such as myself as I was trained personally before passing the practical exam to get in, so I thought it would be necessary while here too in order to place me within those who had attended a school for hunters beforehand," she explained quickly.

Pixie_Sky -- please check bio for explanation on why I am not on | 444 comments Mod
Mavi agreed. "She makes a valid point as well, Yahto and I never attended a hunter's school because we had to take care of our father, but our skills were high enough to be accepted." he said. it was true, they had trained by themselves every day in the woods and against wild beasts to be accepted into this school. the school even had to send an evaluator to their house for a month to make sure they could succeed.
the teacher looked at them. "well." she said with a sigh. "It was suppose to be a surprise, so can you keep this a secret from the others?" she asked. "We want to see how the students do under pressure so we can't have anyone knowing."

"Very well," Rionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnna said with a frown. She wasn't sure why they had to be so secertive over something as simple as a test, but very well. She would try not to start any gossip about it. With that out of the way she took her scroll, a bit confused but not really trying to anger the teacher so she waited for her friend to gather their scrolls before heading back.

Pixie_Sky -- please check bio for explanation on why I am not on | 444 comments Mod
Mavi also agreed, taking his scrolls and joining up with Riona. He scoured the room for his brother, whom he found in the corner hanging up some hammocks. "Let's go." he said with a soft smile. "We need to tell Yahto about keeping the test a secret. If we don't, i have a feeling he would tell everyone." it was true, Yahto would tell people everything and unless he was directed to keep it a secret, everything he learned was fair game.

Melanie rolled her shoulders. "Well, I don't care much for observing. I think a good night's sleep will do us more benefit than worry and stress." She offered a warm smile. "Good night, Raiden."

Pixie_Sky -- please check bio for explanation on why I am not on | 444 comments Mod
Raiden smiled and nodded, going back over to his tent. "Good night Melanie." he said, pulling out a deck of cards and going inside to play. he was not going to be just yet, so he figured he would play something.

"Yes, it seems it would be in our best interest to do so," Rionna said as she followed the bow along. She rather not have the teacher have a bad image for believing them to be gossipers when it was a different party than the two of them that did so. Not wise to start off the year with a teacher not liking you.

Pixie_Sky -- please check bio for explanation on why I am not on | 444 comments Mod
Mavi and Rionna walked to where Yahto was. "Yahto, don't tell anyone about the test thing. it is supposed to be a secret." Mavi said bluntly. Not asking any questions, Yahto agreed.
"Okay, well i set up our hammocks..." he said. "Rionna can take mine if she does not want to sleep on the floor." he offered.

Raiden got out of his tent and saw the young looking girl Yuki. 'there aren't supposed to be any children here. maybe she is a teacher's child?' he thought as he watched the girl.

message 150: by [deleted user] (new)

Yuki continued to look around. "Hm... I wonder what its like here." she mumbles to her self as she looked at some of the weapons people were carrying. "Remind me not to get on their bad side, Onyx." she says talking to a little fox cub that was in her bag. The fox cub nodded and looked around at a few of the students.
