In the epilogue, I was convinced Bella had died after giving birth. With the way that Javi was tlaking to his daughter. I actually had a tear slip out.

I'm happy it was a happy ending. But holy shit. It was dark af.

I don't know if I'll read something this dark again. But this was a good first time reading something like that book, I think. (hide spoiler)]

I gave it 4 stars. I was going to give it three. But when I really thought of it, I gaveit 4 because you could tell it was written to be a ridiculously dark book and it definitely was. I don't feel like there was supposed to be a lot of character development. Or even world building.

I think it was a book made just for the dark parts of it. Ya know? But I couldn't give it 5 stars because it just wasn't for me.

I totally would be! I am starting the Air Awakens series soon. With a buddy in another group. But I'd be up for buddying that with you in this group.

Other than that I'm in the middle of two other buddy reads of All the Crooked Saints and The Dream Thieves. So I really can't do another right now. I'm having a hard time keeping up with them all.

But if you wanted to do Air Awakens with me we could. Otherwise I'd have to wait until I finished at least one of those two books.
