SOLVED. YA book about a left handed vampire that falls in love with vampire hunter's daughter. [s]

I read this book somewhere between 2009-2013. I remember the book was set it modern time, but the MC has flashbacks to when he first became a vampire, somewhere in the 17-1800s. I think the actual main character was a female, and every so often you would get his chapter. I remember the flashbacks showing him as a teenager about 17-19 years old. He was doing something at a table and was sitting next to this girl and because he was left handed he noticed the girl. Fell in love with her. Then was jumped one night and was turned into a vampire. He made her into a vampire and they planned to run away together. However when it came time to run, he went to her window and saw she had been stakes by her father, a vampire hunter. The father vowed to kill the vampire that killed the girls mother.

Destiny, can you tell us more about the main female character who lives in modern times - her job, skills/interests, how she meets the hero and what he currently does, etc.?

I believe the girl didn't really know the guy. they both went to the high school. I think he was the bad boy of school though. I know they lived in a small village in the flashbacks, and I believe they live in the same place, but it's all changed into a small town. I don't remember too much about the main girl though.
