What book did you read for this category and who recommended it? If you still need a recommendation, the librarians would love to help!

Susan, I love the phrase "candy read". I need to work that into my reading vocabulary!

I enjoyed The Eyre Affair and went on to read more in that series but eventually I petered out. Glad you read something different for the challenge!

Susan (quackingup) | 27 comments I read Pieces of Me, It's My Story and I Will Tell It. by Nicol McClendon. It was recommended to me by a co-worker as her daughter had written it. It was a quick read. Most of it read as if you were sitting at the kitchen table having coffee with a friend but some of it was a bit rambling. The over use of caps and exclamation points made for choppy reading but still worth reading. Nicol's poems included at the end were heartfelt.
I still plan to read Before I Knew.

Danielle (librarian19) | 45 comments How are people doing with this category? Personal recommendations are great but can be so hit or miss. I was lucky - I got a great one - I'll Be Gone in the Dark which was a great audiobook as well.
