Melissa Harris I really hope so Shelli. I keep pushing it back on my list and starting something different. I really just need to force myself to start it.

I think you'll be surprised you waited, however...with so much to read..don't ruin the book by forcing yourself to read it...pick up something else and read WFE when you don't feel pressure. I love animals etc etc and had no problems with the book at all. Like almost every good book, there are some parts that might be tough to read, but then if they weren't in there, the book wouldn't be so good.

Nadia A (bagambo) I just finished Her Fearful Symmetry and loved it! I'm still digesting the ending of it as I just only finished it this afternoon. I'm not sure what to make of it yet. All I know is that it is so much better than The Time Traveler's Wife.

Robin (americancorvus) | 7 comments I just finished reading/rereading The Watch series by Sergei Lukyanenko. I started this series hoping that it would expand on the first movie 'Day Watch' because I found the movie interesting but ultimately unsatisfying. I struggled a little with the first few stories in the first book, but ultimately I fell in love with this series. I recomend it, but remember the author is Russian and I think that was why I struggled some with it.
Day Watch (Watch, #2) by Sergei Lukyanenko Day Watch
Night Watch (Watch, #1) by Sergei Lukyanenko Night Watch
Dusk Watch (Watch, #3) by Sergei Lukyanenko Dusk Watch
The Last Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko Last Watch

message 305: by Jerrod (new)

Jerrod (liquidazrael) Robin, you're a little bit off. The series starts with Night Watch, then goes Day, Dusk (Twilight), Last (Final).

Interesting...you are one of the first who I've heard likes it better! I thought they were both just 3 stars for me. I didn't really like any of the characters in HFS and the ending I did not care for!!!
I was in the minority of people who thought TTW was just ok!

message 308: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) I'm starting the Childe Cycle by Gordon R. Dickson. He wrote the first book, Dorsai, the year I was born, which I just finished re-reading. The last book, Antagonist, was published in 2007 with a co-author since Dickson died in 2001. I've read most of the books, some two or three times, but I've never read them in order nor all in the same decade. So now I will. I just finished the first published (not chronologically) & have started the second, Necromancer.

message 310: by Micko (new)

Micko Lemur (shiftdecimal) I finished Long Voyage Back by Luke Rhinehart and actually wrote a review this time! Great book, I don't usually read long drawn out adventures, but fleeing from nuclear fallout on a cumbersome boat was a riveting read.

Roberta Azzopardi (robs08) | 7 comments I finished The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown a couple of weeks ago. It was good though the ending was a bit disappointing.

Jason Clay (goodreadscomwillshakespeare) | 74 comments Have just finished Climate of extremes some of the science in it was good and that was worth the price of the book on its own. The message was a little biased though and could have at least spent some time considering the other side of the argument.

message 322: by Jerrod (last edited Feb 05, 2010 05:52AM) (new)
