Scorch Trials by James Dashner is a great book. The book is action packed and a fun read. Thomas and his group of friends go out into the world after the sun has scorched it. They travel across the way to find the right arm for safety away from WCKD.

Scorch Trials is a great read for a couple of reasons. First the plot and the setting was brilliant and if you have read the first one then it makes a lot of sense as well as connects the two books for a great sequel. Another part on the goods of the book was the setting. It takes place on the earth after it has been hit by the sun flares and suffers from toxic air and crazy effects on the people who are exposed to it. They have recently been sent back to the headquarters of WCKD for what they think is for the better and they later have suspicions about what they are really doing there. So a group of them run away into the night. On the way the encounter humans that have been affected by the sun flares and they are trying to get the right arm as fast as they can.

Onto the characters sides. Thomas is a natural leader and has been one since everything started back in the glade. He is curious and likes to explore more than he should. Which isn’t always a bad thing. Overall he is for sure the main character in this book and really plays a big part in this series.

I thought this book was great. I liked the way the book was set up and the way the keep you on your toes while reading. This series in general was good and i can’t wait to read the third book. I like to read the book and then watch the movies because it makes the experience better for me as a reader knowing sorta the outline of the story. Overall I recommend you to read it.
