Happy December, y'all! I can't believe how fast the year has gone by.

This week I'm reading In Case of Emergency by Keira Andrews, Secret Santa by Jay Northcote, and Santa Baby by Avery Ford.

Happy reading :-)

I can't believe it either, Okie!

Yay, Leigh-Ayn! Hope you love it as much as I did.

Slowly but surely I'm getting past my slump. Just finished an utterly delightful ARC of The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory. Not out until January 30th but keep your eye out for it. Hero and heroine meet cute in a hotel elevator and he convinces her to be his plus-one at his ex's wedding to his best friend. Smart and funny and sexy and it made me cry. (And I do not cry at romances y'all.)

Susan (susaninaz) | 1075 comments I just finished Brenda Novak's The Secret Sister. Totally great book. Next is Leave Me.

Irisheyes | 896 comments I've been reading a lot of Christmas stories latley, old and new. A new one I just finished is Donna Kauffman's The Inn at Blue Hollow Falls. I really enjoyed that one. In fact, I think I'm going to hunt down some of her backlist because I liked her voice. Her characterizations and setting were great. The dialogue was plentiful and awesome. I love dialogue, especially when it's fun and real! I hope this novella is indicative of her other books because her backlist is huge! Thanks, Janga!

Like Irish, I'm rereading Christmas favorites. Today, as I can steal a few minutes from writing, I'm doing my annual rereading of an oldie (1989)--A Carol Christmas. It is incredibly schmaltzy--with a wounded heroine, a baseball-star hero with a big, boisterous family, nuns, and abandoned kids, and an ending I'd never believe if it were not Christmas. I love it the way I love a friend's double-fudge cake. It is really too sweet, but at Christmas I can't resist it. Plus, my mother loved it, so it's a connection with her. Yes, I am sentimental--especially at holidays.

Yes I enjoyed it. I am in a rut too but found that I wanted to know what happened to the MC's!

Leigh-Ayn Goodreads seems to have a crowd sourced one and also emails me new books by authors on my shelves monthly.
