An interesting read set on a fictitious island southeast of South Carolina. Written in epistolary format, the MC fights to save her family and friends from totalitarianism the island council is infringing upon them. The council is banning the use of specific letters of the alphabet as they fall off the memorial statue of Nevin Nollop, the author in which the island was named.

A re-read for me but enjoying it more this time than last.
