3. The Lord of the Rings (this is the fellowship of the ring, the two towers, and the return of the king all in one omnibus so don't know if it will count as 1 or 3

Franz Kafka completed! Hooray!
Just completed my first book by James Patterson - Guilty Wives by James Patterson. Entertaining, if a bit repetitive. I enjoyed the mystery of the story. The main characters were well-written and complex. And the portrayal of life in prison was pretty accurate - don't for a minute think that similar events don't happen in American prisons every day. Worth reading. 3.5 stars2/10
I read Guilty Wives about a year ago and I really enjoyed it. James Patterson can really write a good mystery and his main characters are definitely complex.

Slow moving book but a very surprising ending!

Just completed my first Sarah J. Maas book - Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Once again, I've been sucked into another amazing Maas universe! Her characters are interesting and complex, particularly her main character Celaena. Maas is a wonderful storyteller, in that she doesn't hit you with the particulars of her universe all at one time, but allows the world to unfold naturally through the story. And she doesn't hold back important bits to frustrate the reader. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars3/10

Just finished book 2/12 (message 18):Wildtrack by Bernard Cornwell ★★★☆☆
Bernard Cornwell is known for his historical fiction but this book is a thriller set in the world of yacht sailing. Very, very different from his other books that I've read but I decided I might try to read all he has written so here I am. I'm glad I did, it was good. His historical fiction is great, but this was good enough.
