Hi Niwas, welcome to the group! Hope you'll enjoy it and everything it has to offer. Have a look at all the great challenges, or maybe you would like to join in on some of the monthly group and buddy reads. Just look around and see what piques your interest.
My favourite classics that I read recently are Frankenstein and To Kill a Mockingbird, at least those are the ones that come to mind right now.
Have fun! And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Kat (whatskatreading) (whatskatreading) | 12 comments Hi everyone!
My name is Kat. I am originally from Miami, FL. but moved to NYC almost 2 years ago. The last year I went into a kick where I read a lot of memoirs, biographies/autobiographies, thriller, psychological dramas. Some of my favorites include Girl, Interrupted., Go Ask Alice, Tuesdays with Morrie, My Year with Eleanor. But I've recently been wanting to branch out from the dark reads and have been looking for more reads in the genres of motivational fiction, YA novels, summer reads, etc.
I found out about this group through the GoodReads Community page. It's actually my first time joining any sort of reading book so I'm very excited to hear about everyone's favorite reads and suggestions. :) I've been in a major book slump and haven't been able to finish any of the books I've picked up, so I haven't really started my reading goal, but I hope to read a minimum of 35 books this year. I've just lookedinto the Must Read Books Quarterly Challenge and hope to start with some of those this quarter (though I know I am a little behind already lol).
Looking forward to interacting with you all!

Rosie My name is She Who Must Not Be Named and I am from America. I like to read sci-fi, fantasy, realistic fiction, contemporary, romance, horror, mystery, classics, young adult, and really anything fiction. I found this group because I am new to Goodreads and I haven't joined many groups yet, so I thought it would be interesting to join a reading challenge group. My reading goal is 50 books, but I'm not sure how many books I will read this year since it's the first time I've listed every book I read in a year, so I'm looking forward to it. I've read 26 books so far if I include a book I read halfway through and did not finish. 📚

Stacey's All Booked (staceysallbooked) | 11 comments Hello y'all! I'm Stacey from Houston Texas!! I am an avid reader of several genres, though I probably read mostly mystery thriller, fantasy and scifi. I am a mood reader and can often read more than 1 book at a time as my mood changes. I am a true believer in my rights to DNF books I don't like, I use bookmarks and find dog-earing cringe worthy, and I love buddy reading books so you can share your reactions to events as they happen. Thank you for letting me join this group. I am excited to learn more about everyone.

message 1345: by Ketty (new)

Ketty (kettlekinsreads) Hi all! My name is Keturah but you can call me Ketty, most people do these days. I am twenty-eight, mother of three, and I have been obsessed with books since I could pick them up.

I was born and raised in Arizona, I currently live in Phoenix and I am quite addicted to buying books. I am also fully aware that I do not read fast enough to keep up with my addiction. I also am pretty sure that my bookshelf hates me, as I insist upon adding more books than it can possibly hold.

When I was younger I was a little picky about what I read, I didn't like things that were too easy, so I often glazed over things meant for my own age. So, at the ripe old at of twenty-eight, I have a very eclectic range of books on my shelf. I love fantasy, high and dark, you name it, I love it. I also love horror and crime, sci-fi...I read almost a touch of everything. Except for maybe the trashy romance novels my mother read when I was little and I was scarred for life by at a tender young age because I had no idea what I was doing.

I am currently trying to read through my insane shelf, starting at the very first book and working my way through. While I know I am going to get derailed often, that's the goal. While my reading goal for the year is twenty at the current moment, it will probably change depending on how my reading habits go this year.

Anyways! Hi, I hope to get to know some of you lovely bookworms and actually make some friends on this site this year. I need people to obsess with...the man in the house doesn't understand. Send help, and bookmarks.

Hi Ketty, welcome to the club! My main goal this year was to clear all the dust bunnies on my book shelves, not buying more books until I had read them all. So what did I do last Thursday? I bought 15 new books.... 15!! (and I'm quite a slow reader myself so...) On top of that they gave me 1 free book, so I've added 167 new books, having cleared 6 old dust bunnies....

I love fantasy, high and dark, you name it, I love it. I also love horror and crime, sci-fi...I read almost a touch of everything. Except for maybe the trashy romance novels my mother read when I was little
