The Cuckoo's Calling
Origin"
Wow, I didn't even realize that either of these were being filmatized! That's so cool. Hope you enjoy, Mie :)

Haha. The struggle is real, Kristin! I'll out you down for one, that way whatever you decide you'll meet your goal ;)

One is a great start, Rachel! I'll keep an eye out for your updates and change your goal accordingly if you decide to up it later in the month :)
Happy reading!

Happy to help :) Any thoughts as to what you'll be reading yet?

Welcome everyone to this month's challenge. I hope you all have fun and find some great books.
There appears to be a general consensus of a 2-3-book goal in March! That's amazing. :D
I'm curious, is anyone re-reading books in preparation for the modern filmatizations of classics like A Wrinkle in Time and Little Women?
And do you plan on watching the movie/TV-show corresponding to your book of choice once it releases in 2018?
Lemme know!
Best of luck everyone and happy reading!

I do plan on seeing the Wrinkle in Time movie because I'm reading the book with my son and I'll take him to the movie when we finish. :)
I'm not sure about Cuckoo's Calling. I actually have been listening to it on audio for a couple of weeks and parts of it are interesting but parts of it are not. I might watch it just to solidify the story because I have focusing issues while listening to audio books.

That sounds like a fun outing, SarahKat :) The "A Wrinkle in Time" novel has never called much to my attention but the line-up and trailer looks fantastic, so I'm most definitely looking forward to watching it at some point during the year aswell.
lol, I'm the same when it comes to audio books. My mind just drifts and I usually forget I'm supposed to be paying attention!
"The Cuckoo's Calling" is crime fiction, right? I have to admit it's another one that just hasn't piqued my curiosity enough. I think I saw the trailer for the TV show and was a little underwhelmed. But could go and be the best thing ever, you never know :D Eitherway, I hope you enjoy both books :) Can't wait to see how you like them!

Most likelyA Wrinkle in Time and Where'd You Go, Bernadette"
Welcome to the challenge, Ula!

5.

There's a shortage of books available on my Overdrive lately, specially with the newer, more popular books. And if it isn't because there's a huge hold list, it's because my library hasn't added it to Overdrive yet. Most frustrating!

2/3
1. Where'd You Go, Bernadette
2. Ready Player One

Read: 2/2
✅ Annihilation
✅ The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

Izzie, first of all, welcome to the group!
In regards to your question, you can post a message here whenever you finish a book, so I can update your progress throughout the month. Some members choose to update their original post with their progress to keep track of their challenge more easily, but make sure to also post a new message so the challenge leader knows to go look at your original post.
Personally, what I always do, is write a new message along the lines of "updating message # - __ out of __ completed"
You can look at how other members report their progress to find a strategy that works well for you :)
I hope that answers your question. Otherwise please feel free to ask again!

(I think it's great this matches up with this month's group read!)
1. A Wrinkle in Time - finished
2. Ready Player One - finished
2/2

And do you plan on watching the movie/TV-show..."
:D yeah Little Women is somewhat long and (at least for me) it felt even longer when I re-read it last year. I think it's just that it's so dense and there's so much information. It's still a great book though :) I hope you like it when you have a chance to read it!

Happy reading to the both of you :)

Hi Cindy, the alienist is included in some of the lists linked. The premiere date was January 21st or 22nd (if I remember correctly) so yes, it most definitely counts :)
