Goodreads has a zillion lists for this, so I'll just link to the search results instead:

Love Songs Make You Cry
Dubbelspel
Gravel Heart

This is a good crowdsourced list of POC authors of speculative fiction, besides Octavia Butler, who’s also a great option.

 Here is what I'm considering:
Here is what I'm considering:Invisible Man - double duty as a chunkster
Shadowhouse Fall - if my library will ever get it on audio or another of Older's books
Kindred
Their Eyes Were Watching God
This list could get really long, lol.

I loved Invisible, Kindred, and Their Eyes. Ruby Dee reads the last one and she is flawless!

The Intuitionist
The Underground Railroad
There are so many others I own- I'll have to make a list.
I'm probably going with Who Fears Death or Shadowhouse Fall for this one! They're both such amazing authors!

I really loved Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka if you are looking for something a little different!

I have that one on my TBR. I'm not sure I'll use it for this, but I'm glad to have your recommendation!

Read The Changeling bt Victor LaValle for the 1000 pages book club at #InkandPaper Blog. As the title suggests about a couple who come to realize (at different times) that their newborn is a changeling. The book divides into a more mythological, magical section that was somewhat jarring but I enjoyed the book.

I'm wavering between Swing Time and Everything Everything. Checked out both, curious where my mood takes me. I might be too brain dead to read Zadie Smith at the moment, so a ligth YA read might be right up my alley for the moment.

I read The Vegetarian by Han Kang for this category.

I ended up giving it 3 stars, it was a bit difficult to read because of the content and I struggled to piece the parts together.
Read Americanah for this prompt. Really enjoyed and appreciated the view of American culture and Nigerian culture from someone else’s point of view.

I went with A Conspiracy in Belgravia by Sherry Thomas for this one. It is the sequel to a book I really enjoyed last year, and it didn't let me down. It wasn't QUITE as good as the first one but I still enjoyed it immensely.
