Does anyone know if there is a way to obtain a copy or find the original version of this novel? Interestingly, Sartre originally named this novel Melancholia, and he originally tried to get this published in 1937, but it was rejected, despite favorable reviews. He was recommended to change the title to Nausea, and for publication, he was asked to remove material that was too populist, political, and sexual. I was just wondering if the original is available somewhere or if I can find all the parts that were cut.
There was a website that I found a while back which talks a bit about this and has some of the cut passages. I can't find it anymore, but I believe that I found the same one here: http://www.persee.fr/doc/item_1167-51...
