Savannah wrote: "I was just looking through some of the TBR's and recommendations on here and I'm a little confused. I just read Cinder and am trying to see if I can fit it in any of the challenges...."I have read Cinder as well and it is definitely not set on another planet, however part of the series is set on the moon, a celestial body, so I get where it comes from. It can be counted as an allegory, because of all the little hints to the original fairy tale.
I don't check where everyone puts their books, so it is up to your own interpretation :)
Update message 88, progress 30/5022. A book with alliteration in the title - Secret Sister by Emelle Gamble (finished 4/24), my review is here
A2. A cyberpunk bookBattle Angel Alita, Volume 01 (Gunnm #1) by Yukito Kishiro (finished 4/24), my review is here
Just completed #10 (death/grief) - Fool Me Once by Harlan Coben. Good, solid suspense. I love Coben's descriptions of his characters - he really paints a picture. Quick read. Worth reading! 4 stars28/40
Just completed #13 (stage play) - The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. Enjoying this book is not quite right, as there are several parts of this book that are not enjoyable to read (dead dog on page 1 being a perfect example). However, I appreciated this book. The author did an amazing job of portraying the thoughts of an extremely intelligent, autistic boy and others' reactions to him. The book was authentic. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars29/40
