Anne (ofthatilk) I think it was a mystery that involved something being found in a library. The owner of the library was deceased or missing. The book was set in a fictional town in CT. It was based on Washington/Washington Depot but the name was changed to another president’s name, something like Jefferson Station instead of Washington Depot.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments How many years ago did you read this?
Was it for teens or adults?
Part of a series?
Anything about the cover?
Time period story takes place?
Who was trying to solve the mystery: a detective, an amateur sleuth, a group of kids, etc?

Anne (ofthatilk) Probably published 2000s. I don’t think any of the characters were detectives or professionals. I think someone had died and it was family/friends/heirs (possibly) trying to figure out the mystery. Not a series, just a one off.

Anne (ofthatilk) Not a kids book.

Anne (ofthatilk) Solved. The book was The Geographer's Library by Jon Fasman. The town name was changed from Washington to Lincoln.
