Katie | 11 comments It’s driving me crazy that I can’t think of this series about a group of 4 or 5 girls - possibly in some boarding school setting? I remember one character name Kit. It’s not baby sitter’s Club, sleepover friends or Pen Pals - it was something similar but slightly “older” I think.

Katie | 11 comments No not it 😕 I hope I am not just imagining this series ha ha! It was light, fun reading like the Babysitters club, but the girls were older. There was a kit and maybe a phoebe?

Girl Talk, or The Saddle Club? Camp Counselors? I miss the 90's!

Doesn't have a Kit or a Phoebe though.

Cat | 160 comments Too Much Too Soon (Seniors, #1) by Eileen Goudge ?
"
Four friends on the brink of graduation - and adulthood...

It's senior year at California's Glenwood High for sexy Kit McCoy, athletic Alex Enomoto, brainy Elaine Gregory, and beautiful Lori Woodhouse. It is a time for discovery - and for falling in love. These four friends share everything: their dreams, fears, and deepest secrets. If one has a special date, she's sure to tell the other girls every delicious detail. If one of them is in trouble, her friends are the first to know - and help.

So you can bet Elaine, Alex, and Lori are right by Kit's side when she confesses she's in love with Justin Kennerly. It's only natural that her flamboyant good looks have turned Justin's head. But her friends are concerned. They know that under her flirtatious exterior, Kit's terribly scared of love - and surprisingly inexperienced. But does Justin know the truth? Or does he expect TOO MUCH, TOO SOON?"

Adele | 1435 comments This is probably not it, but Stephen Roos wrote a series called "Plymouth Island" that is not listed as a series on goodreads. There are characters named Kit and Phoebe and the publication date is right. Here is one book in the series with these two characters mentioned. The Fair-Weather Friends by Stephen Roos There is not a lot of information about And the Winner Is-- but it also focuses on these two girls. Then there are other books set on Plymouth Island that don't seem to focus on them at all such as Thirteenth Summer

Katie | 11 comments Thanks! Nine of these are “it” so far - I can picture the cover design in my head, I just wish I could remember at least some of the title!

Katie | 11 comments Oops “none” not nine!

Adele | 1435 comments What does the cover design look like?

message 14: by Katie (new)

Katie | 11 comments The cover was similar to this - with the “snapshot” style photo of the girls, the series title at the top and the book title scrawled on the bottom. Reading through the description of The Boyfriend Club it seems very close to what I was thinking but I’m not sure. And I swear there was a Kit in there. Argh. https://www.google.com/search?client=...
