Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments Meaty Reads: completed before August 14th
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - highlight of my day because this was a book that I stopped in the middle of AND now finally I have finished. 4.5 STARS
The Enemy Inside by Steve Martini, The Drop by Michael Connelly, and Don't Let Go by Harlan Coben are audiobooks that I listened with my mother. :) 3 to 4 STARS relatively.

Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments My god, I just read the prologue and it is powerful. Fire Punch as a series will satisfy at least 2 different tasks. There are 8 books so I'll be working on this next week and probably be done at the beginning of September. ファイアパンチ 1 (Fire Punch 1) by Tatsuki Fujimoto

Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments I finally finished reading あとかた Atokata . The actual story, which was obviously referencing something I had not read before, was okay to the unknown viewer. But my god, it definitely was made to get people's hearts churning and bring out the waterworks. I probably still would have cried if I was more emotionally charged right now, but I just finished a midterm so I am depleted of all strength.

Working on crushing all my remaining themes/topics. Celeste.

Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments # 20 obviously done as I am now on a One-punch marathon.

Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments By a spark of luck, I have happened upon a book I was already going to read and found a map. How truly excellent! #24 should be done soon.

Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments Read another big book this year. Quite pleased. The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir is a sensible history, the level of education is tremendous, and the women are resolute.

It's quite good. Spends a lot of time on Katherine of Aragon, meaning that she dedicates the same amount of time that Henry actually spent with these women rather than spending the whole time locked in Ann Boleyn's amorous gaze. The amount of education! Let's just say they were all geniuses and savants.
