It was boiling hot here this afternoon. Not what was advertised at all. Although it looks like things are going downhill rapidly for Thursday!"
Downhill is a probability in Scotland. ; )

I have beloved memories of Scottish summers - long hot days spent playing outside (walking up back-roads, running through the hay fields behind our house, picnics in the woods and jumping in swimming holes) and staying out until late at night when it was still light until almost midnight. I left 32 years ago so maybe it's a wishful thinking memory!

Wonderful. Everything will be better from here on. My Bill never looked back - and he's still here, 20 years later.

Good morning all.

At first I thought Benjamin's post was a response to Alicia's above then I saw that he had added "Desley" at the end. Phew! I was thinking you were a cheeky devil, Benjamin calling Alicia's husband a nuisance.
Took yesterday off work to take Kathleen to meet her new teacher, she had so much fun. They had several activities on the tables for the kids to play with, her favourites were the ice cream shop and the home made playdoh.
Sounds like you had a fun day with Dex, Lindsay. Enjoy the rest of them!

Ah. No.
The giggles would metamorphose into little titters and escape out of the holes.

It's going well, thanks. With the last procedure behind me I can look forward to getting steadily better."
Glad to hear it.

Titter ye not!

Not a nuisance, thankfully - I don't think you really know who you've married until you have to put a house on the market, travel to select a new home, and contemplate living temporarily in a one-bedroom apartment with him. I'll tell you, whatever else he has done in his life (and I'm not telling), he gets points. LOTS of points.
He's downstairs, two days after cataract surgery, disconnecting the appliances from the kitchen so they can put in the new floor - all before 7am. We've both moved so many boxes we have no idea where the salt is. And may never find it again.

Nothing like spending a week sharing a bed with someone who is as sick with Delhi belly as you are to get to know them.

Thanks for that image Patti!!

You have achieved the impossible: making me feel good about this move.
Now I will try to remove that image from my mind.

Himself returns, they don't even look in the box but announce over the tannoy that another (ANOTHER, do they not learn?) battery for a strimmer is required at the checkout. Tut.

Keep your receipt handy!

We better leave soon, or I'm gonna weigh 200 kilos.
We paid for this one.
Two bottles of prosecco, starters, 3 mains, coffees, liqueurs, two decadent desserts.
Less than £100, including tip.
We spend more than that doing a pub quiz night in Barry.
And that would be why we don't go out much when we're in the UK...

Ahhh it was Dubai for us!

Keep your receipt handy!"
It"s apparently so people won't nick them - because they don't work without it. But if you don't know... Seems it said so on the shelf.

Many thanks for your kindness, milady.

Ahhh it was Dubai for us!"
Oh Lordy, GL.
Imagine if that had happened to us in Dubai!

Last bits of getting leaving paperwork sorted today.
Thankfully Dave will be the one running all over town.

Urgh, what a horrible thought!

Nerts to that.
I'm doing laundry in preparation of packing.

Hope everyone is fit and well."
Pleased you're scribbling. Seems like ages since I've read anything from you!
Well, except for your posts in here, of course.

Wow, that is really cheap Patti. Hope the strimmer works now Kath

Strimmer works fine, Desley. Used it yesterday a little, but daren't today as the wind is fierce.
Got to write a little piece for the village mag (for the In Bloom group. You can write - you can do our articles) so I've been down to the corner to take a photo of the barrel plantings to accompany it.

We tried that. Small bottles first, then bigger ones and finally fully fledged Ferkins.

All the lovely fresh June foliage is getting scragged :("
Reminds me of the high winds in October 2013, when I wound up being trapped on a train for an hour due to a barn(!) on the line.

It's pretty windy here too.
I had a missed call from my dad and it turns out Kathleen wanted to speak to me but my phone was on silent so I didn't know and now I feel terrible for not answering. Just rang the play group and she is playing away with one of her wee friends. Phew! Although, I forgot to send her with a teddy for the teddy bears picnic. She'll tell me off for that later.

Titter ye not!"
Oh. I dunno.
An occasional handful of titters can bring a smile to the face.
You don't want to get titters in your wainscoting though.

Or turned into chips. Croquettes are good for soaking up a gravy. Dauphinoise if we're feeling posh. Roasties on a Sunday, natch.
But then I have always been hard of hearing. Pardon?

He is also acting a bit creepy.
Cheers

Just booked our flights to the uk. We're outa here on Tuesday!
Pleased we decided to stay a few days before we travel. We both need a rest.
We've been invited out but have decided on a night in tonight, out for brunch tomorrow, though.

A hard herring?
You could be confusing your titters with kippers.

Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink.
I think the group should go on a jaunt together and sort out Mary's parent's neighbour.

Just as well you are waiting Patti, you would only have been coming home to storm Harold or whatever this one is called, it's some name beginning with H and a quick google would tell me but I'd rather spend more time typing this message than checking because as a millennial that is my choice and my entitlement, so there.
