2017-11 sequels - What will you read

I've started Broken Harbor, which, according to some of the comments on the discussion thread, isn't really a sequel, since it focuses on a different protagonist. And I also have The Silkworm among the possibilities for one of my Bookopoly stops, so I'll try to get to that this week during the Read-a-thon as well.

I have a question, are we counting sequels as any book in a series other than the first one or the second book in a series. I am currently reading a book that is part of a series and my next book is the 2nd book in a series.
