SOLVED. Help me find a specific ghost novel. [s]

A few years ago I read a book when I was either in elementary or middle school about a young girl who can talk to a young female ghost. I am now 25 years old, and so this book is probably old. The novel is about a young female ghost who had a controlling father. Her father did not want her to marry her boyfriend and tried his best to keep her from him. Eventually she comes up with a plan to run away with him but as she is about to, she gets killed and never reaches her boyfriend. In the novel the main character is a girl who falls and hits her head and starts seeing the female ghost.... I vaguely remember the details... is either that... or The girl sees the tombstone with the ghost's name on it.

As the book progressed, it shows the ghost's boyfriend as an elderly man who is currently alive and who is still upset by the death of his lover those many years ago.

If anyone can help me find this novel, I would really appreciate it. I have lost hairs trying to look for the title of the book.

I probably read the book between 2001 and 2006. I think the book was more for teens. The book was not horror, it was more of a mystery and suspense type of book. I am not exactly sure where the young girl first sees the ghost but I do remember a garden. The book was not part of a series and it had a happy ending. The book is sad, and romantic. The story gives some hints about how she might have died and if she was murdered. While reading the book you might have thought that her controlling father killed her or if it was her boyfriend.
