I seriously think this arrowhead she wears from Philippe is going to end up having some big significance or power, or something.

Woooahhh Phoebe! She wants to become a vampire and to marry Marcus? Is the family going to accept this?? I guess it has been done in the family in the past? Yikes, though. I feel protective of the de Clermonte family and didn't want a warmblood brought in anyways (LOL!)! Marcus told her a bunch of their secrets. I would be upset if I were Matthew, Baldwin, or Ysabeau.

Oh dear God, Benjamin called!? He hasn't been heard from in centuries and was thought dead! What a threat! I am so glad Miriam is Okay though, I thought the worse when Benjamin called from her cell :O I can't believe that Matthew once made a vampire and punished him with abandonment, what a huge regret.. I am expecting Ben to spark the blood rage of Matthew, and I don't see it going very well. I hope they can make up or something and be civil...

I feel like there was SO much history and detail that I could easily and happily reread the series, and I am not a rereader!!

Think over all the series is very good, and I liked the attention to detail, the author put a lot of time and care into her world. But I don't think I'd ever reread this series just because the second book was way too slow, it was a lot of playing house with only a little magic sprinkled in. This book had the best pacing, even in the down time she used it to developed (view spoiler)[ the storyline about the blood rage and the weavers, (which can I say was so cool that their kids are all 4, human, witch daemon and vampire!!!) (hide spoiler)]. Also this series had a great cast of characters! (view spoiler)[ Poor Gallowglass, It was so sad to find out he was in love with Diana too!! He was my favorite I want him to finds love, and I was thinking that too, that he was gonna get with Janet Gowdie. I guess he need time to get over Diana. (hide spoiler)]

Just a quick update to say that I am very slowly making my way through the first book but I have been in a slump this month so I'm still not very far in! I'm hoping to at least finish the 1st one this month but the next 2 will probably be next month or even December. First impressions are good though-it's very much an adult fantasy for women and I've never read anything quite like it.
