Sarah | 3915 comments Well, here's an official thread for the discussion. What's on your list?

Me too. And Nebula and Locus. I have around 45 to go across all three.

Mine is less about what I am reading and more about where I am reading it, and how much reading. I want to read on beaches and in treehouses, in cabins and mansions, by every sort of body of water from pool to pacific, and with all sorts of birds in the background. I want to read with coffee next to me, and champagne (as is appropriate for the hour).

I think if I get Costa Rica, Morocco, New Zealand, Italy and South Africa in there, I'll consider it a pretty good job!

Jennifer | 468 comments I think I would visit places like Prague, Budapest, Dubrovnik, visit the Black Sea, try to look at major works of Art. I have already seen the Scream and some Picasso, maybe go to Barcelona to look at some Salvador Dali . That kind of thing.

Same here, I'd absolutely want to tour the world once more... (though would there still be airplanes?) and I guess I'd like to spend the last moments with my family, maybe having a party?

Jennifer | 468 comments There is an Australian movie called Theses Final Hours. It was on Netflix. You guys might like it.

This is why I've been saying in the Last Policeman scenario, I'd go to Costa Rica--I think the planes would be in the air long enough for us to get there. Any family that wants to spend the remaining time inebriated, gluttonous, and surrounded in books is free to join me.

Small side story, on the eve of my wedding, I was staying with my aunt and uncle and we watched a movie I hadn't heard anything about. They said it was a dark comedy. It turned out to be "Searching For A Friend at the End of the World." I would not recommend letting my aunt and uncle select movies for your special occasions.

Sabrina | 375 comments Problem is that I'd want to go to Botswana, Fiji, New-Zealand, Hawaii and so on... So I'd need those planes!

Anyway if I weren't already married I guess that would be on my list as well (though without the dark comedies beforehand :-)

For your tree house obsession try this site, It is in southern Oregon.

Or this one https://www.treehousepoint.com/

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 2797 comments Get rescue and cave specialty certification and then visit all the diving spots in my country that I have not visited.
Try diving in a lake, ice diving, skydiving, bungee jumping and rapelling.
Watch Hamilton.
And like everybody else, go to New Zealand and visit LOTR sites. (I might actually do it next year *crossing fingers)

Sarah | 3915 comments I'd go for travel linked to history that interests me. Romania, Constantinople, Italy, Spain, France, Malta, Morocco, Greece.

Hmm... That ended up being mostly a Mediterranean tour.

Sarah | 3915 comments How much time did they have? Would I also have time for Scotland, Denmark, and maybe Ireland? I'm mostly Danish and Irish so I think that's obligatory.

I mean, I don't think I had a treehouse obsession, but now that I have options...do all the things!

Silvana, that would be SO COOL! I hope you get to do it.

Sarah, honestly it sounds like a cruise you could take inside of 2 weeks lol! We went to the nordic countries this year, and met people who had done a cruise of the Baltic, up through the North Sea, and down to Isle of Skye. So I don't know why there wouldn't be tours similar in the Mediterranean!

To read The Last Policeman.

Too meta?

Sarah | 3915 comments Allison wrote: "Sarah, honestly it sounds like a cruise you could take inside of 2 weeks lol!"...

That's blasphemy! I hate doing touristy stuff when I travel. I'd need to speed at least two weeks in each country.

I mean that sounds better, but we're talking about an impending meteor here. I'm trying to tell you it's *possible*!

Sarah | 3915 comments I most definitely would not die a happy woman, though.
