Chrissie I stuck in a short story by Eudora Welty--A Worn Path.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I have put a free online link to the short story in my review. Having it there in my review is handy and others may want to read it too.

Petra | 3324 comments I finished a real fun story yesterday: The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O..
It's a real world-fantasy type of story.... a world-building event. It was funny and interesting throughout. I listened to the audio, which was really well done.

PattyMacDotComma I recently enjoyed Dark Fire by C.J. Sansom. Everyone’s farourite hunchbacked lawyer, Matthew Shardlake, works reluctantly for evil Thomas Cromwell and survives (only just) to live another day in Henry VIII’s Tudor England. Great book but scary times.
Dark Fire (Matthew Shardlake, #2) by C.J. Sansom 4.5★ : My review

Tamara Agha-Jaffar | 1416 comments Finished Cassandra: A Novel and Four Essays by Christa Wolf. The novel is in the first-person point of view. The book includes four essays in which Wolf describes her trek through some of the ancient sites in Greece while her vision of Cassandra begins to take shape. I thought it was very interesting.

dely | 5214 comments A few days ago I picked up an old book I had at home, not knowing if I had already read it in the past or not. I had nothing new to read, so decided to look among my old books.

I've found a book that was really good. Sadly there isn't an English translation. Despite the French title, the book is in Italian: Je vous écris d'un pays lointain by Anna Banti. She is surely more famous for one of her other books, Artemisia.

Only Italian review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Tamara Agha-Jaffar | 1416 comments I read Robert Low's The White Raven, his third book in the Oathsworn series about a band of Vikings. It's very well done and totally immerses the reader in the possible sights, sounds, and smells of the era. I recommend it for folks who like historical fiction.
