Glad you loved it. Also, I totally agree about it not being science fiction.

Kathleen | 401 comments This one was really different: Spill Simmer Falter Wither. A little disturbing, but not in the ways you might think. And beautifully written. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Leslie | 16369 comments I finished the 5th book of Proust's In Search of Lost Time series (finally!) -- The Captive. Even though our group Proust challenge has ended, I am going to persevere and finish this series in 2018 (fingers crossed!).

I wonder what it says about me that as Marcel, the narrator, gets weirder & more disturbing in his behaviour, the more I like the books!

That you like books about non-boring people? Weird people give you something to think about.

Aah, that is a good reason that doesn't make me sound like a weirdo myself! Thanks Chrissie :)

PattyMacDotComma Just read Wildest of All by P.K. Lynch, who played Lizzie in the film Trainspotting. Turns out she’s a pretty good writer, too.

Simone Perren (mesimonei) I have just finished The Lying Game by Ruth Ware and I enjoyed it. I thought it was a solid thriller but honestly I guessed the ending so it didn't shock me very much. Very good though!

PattyMacDotComma I've been reading a few children's picture books lately, and this is one I'd like to see promoted to introduce little kids to some basic earth science.

Seed School: Growing Up Amazing by Joan Holub has attractive illustrations by Sakshi Mangal, useful information, and activities to boot!
