SOLVED. Possible YA book about girl getting into Indian girl's mind in the past. [s]

I read this book back in like 2007ish or so. Its about a girl living in the present, maybe. But she is Indian. She is put to sleep or in like a trance and her mind goes back in time to the mind of an indian girl or english girl in like colonial times. She in in the woods and its winter time.

There are two books, one of the covers was black with like a blue tint picture and the other was black with like a yellow tint picture. I just cant remember what its called or the author.

yes they are a series. I was searching a bunch of image covers and i found it.

Its called Witch Child and the second is called Sorceress by Celia Rees
