SW - There are hundreds of bands with 'noisy' sounding names. Are we at least searching in the right area? Could we perhaps have another pointer :-)

P.S. I also thought of 'Trump' but I don't suppose that's a band!!!

Anagram indicator,TB.
nocheese ...Anagram indicator, TB"
Could you elucidate. Is it the question mark that indicates the anagram and are incomplete anagrams allowed? Not sure I understand :-(
I've just deleted a long paragraph trying to explain, and tying myself in knots. The anagram indicator is 'alien', but it's not part of the code, and the question mark suggests the code is not straightforward...oh, bugger, I'm not explaining it well at all. Can someone else do better?
I'll try againSo, working backwards, you might not be sure it's an anagram, but have decided to fiddle with 'man fart' as a result of seeing the question mark, and come up with 'ant farm'. You know there's a band called 'Alien Ant Farm', and realise that 'Alien' is the anagram indicator, telling you that the letters are in an alien form.
yep I've been tying myself up in knots too ncso going to put my explanation out there anyway
say, for example the band 'Bad Manners' the code could simply be -
Mrs. Anne? (band)
you have to work out that the word that's missing(i.e.'Bad') might well be an anagram indicator
same with New Model Army could come up as
My Earldom? (band)
The question mark in cryptic crosswords just means to me that it's wordplay. So being as all our clues are wordplay the ? becomes meaningless in the end anyway :)
nocheese wrote: "Thanks Sj. (Might salt those away for later :D)"Haha! The 'My Earldom' one does look familiar tho :)
Ah please keep at it TBWhenever there is a brief sentence used as one of the codes then first off look for a possible anagram.
