Apologia: I'm not a crossword doer so I don't know all the conventions. Occasionally I may contravene some of them unknowingly when setting a code. I'm learning as I go along!
Haha! TB I got that one from 'Shirley'(Valentine) and 'Collins' from cocktails (Tom/John Collins) so was hoping you'd been on the Jack Daniels[JD] :O))p.s. No need for Apologia....we all just do whatever works best for themselves. And as nc said (years ago) it is interesting working out each other's different styles etc

The Future Kings of EnglandOff-topic, I guess, but I'd be surprised if the present Prince of Wales chose Charles as his regnal name if/when he becomes king. British Kings called Charles don't have a very good track record. I'd have thought he'd be much more likely to become George VII than Charles III. After all, his great uncle David was Edward VIII and his grandad (Albert) was George VI.

Well done, Gordon!
You might well be right about Charles, not that I could have allowed for that.

I remember reading an article to this effect back in the 70s. A friend wrote to the Queen to ask if it was true, but alas received only a standard 'thank you for your interest' response from the palace.

Wow! Didn’t know about them. Apparently the gents can be 4 times heavier than the ladies. Bet they don’t look forward to mating 😳
Hence the saying - ‘Don’t let the bustards get you down’
