Anyone else having a hard time NOT picturing the Oankali like this?

I keep picturing them like Asari from Mass Effect, but with no eyes or nose and smaller head-tentacles. And then more tentacles everywhere else.Zoe Saldana is the Lilith in my head.
I see Angela Bassett, but I first read this back about the time she did How Stella got her Groove Back.

...Zoe Saldana is the Lilith in my head."That's who I imagine as well. When I started the book, I had just read an article about Zoe and how she likes the strong female characters in science fiction and fantasy. It just seemed appropriate to imagine her as Lilith after that.

I imagined the Oankali looking like Morph from the X-Men comics with a sea anemone on his head.
