I've watched the show on Netflix and i wanna read the book as soon as posible. My least favourite character was simon at the start but after finishing the show, Jake is the one i hate. I love Brownyn,Nate,Addy and Cooper!!
Simon and Jake are DEFINITELY the worst ones An in my opinion Nate Addy And Bronwyn are
The best! That might be just me but yeah.
Personally, I LOVED the book. I could not put it down once I started it. It had a great plot twist at multiple points in the story, and this is my favorite book in the series. My favorite character is probably either Maeve or Nate. I liked Maeve because they probably woudn't have solved the case without her, and I liked Nate because no matter how bad things got, he was himself, and he always did what he felt was best. Even at the end of the book, when he avoided Bronwyn, he was doing it because he thought it would protect her, even though it was hurting him as well.
My least favorite character was probably Addy, Simon, or Jake. I don't necessarily dislike either of them, though. Addy just wasn't very relatable to me, and her character was kind of under-developed. Her and Cooper were put on the back burner in this story, and so they aren't quite as relatable. I didn't like Simon very much because he wanted to take the Bayview Four down with him, for no reason other than to make his death noticiable. I feel sorry for him, though. He was clearly depressed and suicidal for a long time, and no one cared enough to help him. Even his friend Jake woudn't help, he just helped him go. That is why I am not the biggest fan of Jake either. Also, the way he treated Addy was not acceptable, no matter what his reasons were for it.
My favorite part of the book was probably when Nate and Bronwyn reconnected. They were friends when they were younger, and having their friendship back seemed to help both of them in several ways. I love moments when old friends reconnect. It kind of sucks that it took a murder to make them best friends again, though. :)
My least favorite part of the book was what the police did to Cooper. Outing someone is never okay, and it is a huge violation of privacy. When that happened, I HATED the police in the story. And later in the book, I hated Simon for trying to out Cooper. But the fact that Jake tried to protect Cooper's secret showed a lot about Jake. Jake might have been the "bad guy", but he had some good left in him, and that fact almost makes you feel sorry for Jake. It almost makes you wonder what happened to make him that way...
In other words, this book was a great book, full of complex characters and a plot full of twists and turns. I also loved how the characters aren't just "good" or "bad", like they are in most books. They may lean towards one more than the other, but they aren't just one or the other. All of the characters did bad things, and all of them did good things. The element of Simon's gossip app proved this all, reveling characters secrets as well as Simon's personality. Overall, I rate this book 5/5 stars.
I finished this book a few days ago and my least favorite character is Jake and my favs are Addy, Nate, and Bronwyn sorry Cooper!
my fav characters are nate, Bronwyn, and Cooper. imo, addy's character was pretty boring. @ faith have to agree that Jake is the worst

I read it a while ago, and I thought it was meh, like okay but nothing otherworldly. It works for killing time I guess. I actually guessed the ending just reading the first chapter, so there's that.I didn't thought much of the characters, but I remember that I liked Nate the most.
Hate hate hate this book.Slow, romance was ass, the characters conversing with each other was so immature (made me wonder several times while reading wether they were really 17 year olds) and the plot twist was predictable
Has anyone read the third book? What do you think? I was a fool to think it was Simon who was back from the dead. (the title was misleading, in my defence;) )
This book caught me off-guard a bit. I felt like it was more about the drama surrounding the characters but there was still the investigation. I really liked it though. I would recommend. I also hated Simon just because of his name please don't judge me.

coopers secret was probably the deepest. and i feel like the fact that simon might have posted it mkaes me want to puke. simon was annoying and disgusting. and i really wish he had stayed alive so that he couldve been given his own medicine by the bayview 4
Oh, I loved this book! Jake was a super creep, I hated him so much. From the beginning of the book he was giving me bad vibes, and by the end of the book I was like, yep. That's what I thought.

Anyway! I loved Maeve. She was by far my favorite character. They 100% would not of figured it out without her.
