Thank you, Susan!

The first 2 are due back to the library on 10/26 and I can't renew again so those are at the tippy top of my list! And a lot of pages so I may only read those. I'm buddy reading HoL (but my buddy already finished it!) so that's next. IF I have time for more (LOL!!), I'd like to finish up Gwendy's story. These are all physical books.
Edit: And if I have even MORE time, or just to read on Sunday,

Oh cool thanks Leni! That sounds great!

Stephen King's name may be on the book but he hasn't had anything to do with the trilogy since book 1, except written the Forewords. Richard Chizmar is basically just using his name to sell the trilogy? lol. I mean, I damn well would too! But once book 2 starts, it's stated that it has become just Chizmar's story. And I do still have 36 King books to read that I own! And that reminds me that I meant to add

I didn’t know that. Guess I was fooled by the big print ;)

Weather is supposed to be a balmy 66 and sunny so I am very excited for that! Mid-end of October in New Hampshire can be VERY unpredictable. Looking to take the doggo for a walk so again, audiobook choice is needed!

Reminds my I have to get some salsa too for my tortilla chips…
It’s 6am here, I woke up way too early :( And I know I won’t be able to nap before the readathon, because I’ll be way too excited.
Oh well, still lots of prepping to do so.
Wishing you an awesome readathon!

Finished The Mary Shelley Club while still on Saturday! Just under the sprint finishing so I haven't started something else yet. I'm going to take a look at the Bingo board because I think I'm doing fairly well on it. So as much as I want to start Cycle of the Werewolf, I think I need to read some of a graphic novel and some of a non-fiction! I was getting tired and I'm still tired but I feel pretty good for it being midnight!

I started my crocheting project from The Woobles around 11pm and needed the step-by-step videos so not conducive for audiobook listening so I put it aside. Now that I've broken it open and started it, I AM excited to do it! I went to bed at 2:30am and woke up at 6am, finished out the 'thon and was back in bed by 8:05am. lol. Got up for the day at 10:45am, showered, reading (naturally), and catching up on social! And we're going out to dinner tonight with my parents.

Overall I'm quite pleased! I didn't participate in any hourly discussions but I did do all the sprints except Hour 20! I did maybe half of the hourly photos on Instagram and I managed a blackout on the Bingo board! I participated more this 'thon than I have in probably the past year's 'thons. It felt good to be back in the social part of it, that's half the fun! Now a bunch of snacks that didn't get eaten to eat throughout the week Woohoo!

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? New Hampshire, USA
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? Pillsbury cinnamon rolls & cheese-filled soft pretzel bites
4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I'm quitting my job at the end of the year (this has been in motion since March!) and have no plan! Eep!

Elyse, this is a nice and compact spread, I think I will adopt it for my readathon if you don't mind... thank you~

No no, by all means! We all absorb a bit from each other, it's such a lovely community! Happy readathon!

Thank you, Jennifer! Happy readathon!

When are the other sprints.?

When are the other sprints.?"
Apparently the sprints will just be posted with the hourly discussions under the umbrella of the "Fall 2022 Readathon (Oct 22-23)" thread. I was looking for them in a separate thread since that's how they've always been but not this time. We shouldn't have to dig through old posts or remember what times they are every readathon. It should just stay somewhere visible if it's something that stays the same every readathon. Here is now's sprint at hour 4: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I believe Avid is posting the rest of them to open as each one draws nearer.

It looks like the sprints ARE the discussion for that hour, right?
I dont see a discussion for hour 4
Just the sprint

I think Avid was the moderator for that hour so all she did was a sprint. I think they're supposed to be separate.

True, but a lof of it done last minute. That's why I like this readathon better than the reverse one. It starts at 2pm so I have a lot of time to prepare. I did (finally) remember to get some books started in the week before so I can finish them during the readathon. Gives such a feeling of satisfaction lol

Mid-Event Survey
1) What are you reading right now?

2) How many books have you read so far? 1 complete, more than halfway through 2 more
3) What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the readathon?

4) Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? Nope! It's easy to transition from reading to listening so I can check in on social and cook! Got a couple of chores done as well, some dishes and now running some laundry.

It did, Jennifer, thank you!

See you in April (do we know the date yet?)!"
I did, Susy, thank you! I really enjoy doing and seeing the photo parts so much! I don't think the April date has been announced yet. But I'm thinking April 29. It's usually the same day as Independent Bookstore Day in the US.

Thank you, Vicki! Yes I'm very pleased with how my readathon turned out!

See you in April!

Thank you, Ann! Yes, I love the recommendations! Always Looking Up is *technically* the sequel to Lucky Man, which I haven't read, but he refers to it a lot and I'm not even 100 pages in! There's a lot of "I wrote this in Lucky Man," "I covered this in Lucky Man."
